Brighten and balance your skin tone with SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense, a dark spot corrector that reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentation caused by sun exposure, medical procedures or acne.
Formulated with 3% Tranexamic Acid, 1% Kojic Acid, 5% Niacinamide, and 5% HEPES, the treatment targets stubborn brown patches and post-inflammatory discolouration to even the skin tone and help to minimise the appearance of future marks with continued use. In as little as two weeks, the complexion will be unified, radiant and visibly healthier-looking.
Suitable for all skin types.
Free from parabens, silicones, fragrances, gluten and hydroquinone.
Due to the concentration of Kojic acid in this formula, a shift in color is expected. This could lead to a light brown or amber color, but the formula remains effective.
Twice daily, apply three to five drops to face. For morning use, apply after a SkinCeuticals vitamin C serum and follow with a SkinCeuticals broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product. Do not use on irritated or broken skin. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

A big win
This works, be patient and use as directed (2xaday) and there is a difference. My 17 yr old son even used it and was willing to buy it himself. Gentle but effective
This is one of my favorite products with Niacinamide. It is gentle, non irritating and doesn't make my face feel greasy or sticky. It takes consistency and proper use of sunscreen to see any significant change in hyperpigmentation. My spots are now much easier to cover up with makeup. I'm looking forward to using this after my laser resurfacing procedure coming up to help build on that treatment.

Sunspot gone

While it seems to be a good product based on ingredients, I am not sure if it did anything for my melasma spots. I do see some skin brightening after using a bottle but nothing to lighten Sun damage spots. I think HQ is the only thing that truly works but is not good for u. I will not buy this again

I’ve been using this for 2 weeks, so I can’t comment on the effect of lightening my hyperpigmentations, which I haven’t seen any. Of course, I understand it takes time for any topical solution to work. I do want to comment on how much it makes me have breakouts! I don’t have sensitive skin, so I am surprised to see all the breakouts since I started using the product. It just makes me wonder if I even should keep using it for the potential that it might help me or just give up so that I don’t damage my skin more. Very disappointed considering how expensive this is!
