Soft Exfoliate
I tried this because I love everything I have from the brand so far. It is definitely a gentle exfoliate. I have dry and acne prone skin. This is the first exfoliating cleanser I have tried and I'm not sure it's exactly what I am looking for. The price is reasonable considering the brand is usually pretty pricey. If you are looking for a cleaner to exfoliate with that is not too harsh I would recommend this product.

This is the best
I really love this cleanser. For me it really cleanses my skin well. I have tried several others and this was by far the best not harsh or drying.

Works but drying
This was one of two Skinceuticals products I bought to try. I do like the wash, it clears larger zits quickly. I will say that it's very drying to my sensitive skin. I only use when I have a flare up and try to only use on that specific area.

Great Exfoliating Cleanser
Gentle and not too harsh for my combination skin. Can be a bit drying but my heavy moisturizer takes care of that. Would definitely purchase agian.

Wonderful, Slightly Textured, Gentle but Effective
I am really surprised this does not have better reviews. I, personally, absolutely love this cleanser. This was one of the first SkinCeuticals products I bought off Dermstore other than my Vitamin C serum. The price is absolutely outstanding and you get, of course, the SkinCeuticals name and science. I bought a tube of this in May and still have maybe 1/3 left, perhaps a little less. I use barely a pea-size dollop on my fingertips and use this about twice a week, typically right before I apply retinol. I read once that using AHA/BHA before retinol helps absorption, so there you have it! I find this has a very slight, gritty texture. It is nothing like an actual micro-exfoliator but it is just enough that you feel it really works to grab the dead skin. It does not foam, but turns slightly creamy and spreadable. I recite the ABCs to myself two times as I rub it in circles and then let it sit while I shave, body wash, etcetera. Once I rinse it off, my skin feels so soft and smooth. I almost think this works better than a bead exfoliator because it has the acid exfoliation and a tiny bit of grit, which seems way more effective in more ways than one with simple beads. I do not find this drying, but I am also great about using a serum followed by a night cream to lock in the moisture. Without that, my retinol schedule would leave me akin to a decaying skeleton, I think! This was one of the first products that I found slowly but surely decreased the tiny red pimples on my cheeks and jaw. The acne that was definitely due to oil and dead skin build-up and this cleanser solved it within a few weeks of using. For how long it has lasted and how reasonably priced it is, I consider this SkinCeuticals product a major win-win. It is also in a squeeze tube, so I can get every last drop!

Works Well
The exfoliant part isn't a super harsh exfoliant like I am used to but it seems to have helped with breakouts. It seems a little bit drying but great to use once a day.

Not powerful
This does not really seem like an exfoliating cleanser. It does not foam up at all the the exfoliation seem minimal. If you want a good exfoliate... use SkinCeutucals micro exfoliating scrub.
