SkinCeuticals Clarifying Clay Mask uses natural earth clays and botanicals to unclog pores, remove impurities and balance oil production. Plant extracts and minerals calm, soothe and nourish skin as a 2% fruit acid blend sloughs away dead, dull skin cells. Kaolin and bentonite clays absorb excess oil and shine to leave your complexion smooth, pure and healthy.
Key Ingredients:
- 2% Mixed Fruit Extracts (Malic, Lactic, Tartaric, Citric, and Glycolic Acids): work synergistically to gently exfoliate dead skin cells

Okay for oily or combination skin
I'm 54, I bought this in hopes that it would help shrink my pores and perhaps clean out any impurities. Honestly what it did was make shrink my pores a little , tighten my skin, but mostly it just dried my face out. I have combination skin, this supposed to be for all skin types. Basically I has to use twice as much serum and moisturizer for a couple of days just to rehydrate. The box does say good for oily skin as well, maybe it should just stop at that...

I have used SkinCeuticals products for years but never had tried a mask. I'm in my mid-thirties and occassionally get a breakout but also have skin on the drier side, so I was a little skeptical whether a clarifying clay mask would be what I needed. For this being a skinceuticals product I had high hopes. I feel like it is just a standard clay mask. Not sure I really saw any benefits. I used this ~4 times. I'll probably keep using it just because I spent money on it but could probably go without.

This is a different clarifying clay mask. It is very gentle, but potent. I have a very sensitive combination skin and this clay mask does not irritate it or over dry like other clay masks. I love it. It is like a SPA treatment at home! Another recommendation is to add a couple drops of SkinCeuticals B5 hydrating gel to it before applying on a face for extra hydration.
