I didn't want to like this product because of the steep price tag, but so far I am really happy with it. I'd read some reviews it caused acne or irritation, but thankfully I haven't experienced any such negative effects. Sometimes it does tingle a little for a few minutes after application, but it's not bothersome. My skin tone seems more even, clear, and vibrant over all. I've had some random, unsolicited compliments that I looked great recently - on days I had no makeup on at all besides some eyebrow pencil - so I'll take that as a sign this product is enhancing my complexion. Application is a bit tricky - it absorbs super fast, so I found it works best to apply it a drop and an area at a time to avoid having to use way more than the suggested 4-5 drops. For example, I tilt my head back and hover the dropper above my skin to apply one drop directly to my forehead, replace dropper and rub that it, tilt my head back again and apply a drop to each cheek and stop to rub in, etc - hope that makes sense! I hate the price tag haha, but I'd say at this point, I will be making this a regular part of my skincare routine. Also the scent is barely noticeable and disappears quickly. It doesn't smell like hotdog water to me at all lol, more like a vitamin bottle type smell.

Perfect Vitamin C serum
I was previously using the Skinceuticals Phloretin CF, which I love and is targeted for oily skin. I decided to try the CE Ferulic and actually prefer it to the CF. It took me a few days to get used to the texture, as it felt a bit greasy initially. But now, I feel that it absorbs into the skin very well, gives my skin a gorgeous glow, and helped improve my hyperpigmentation. It is very expensive, but worth it!
