C + AHA from SkinCeuticals is an antioxidant-rich treatment that works to diminish and prevent visible signs of aging. A 15% concentration of L-ascorbic acid works to prevent UVA and UVB damage while boosting collagen production. A 10% blend of hydroxy acids sloughs away dead, dull skin cells and diminishes fine lines and wrinkles, revealing smoother, brighter and suppler skin. Still Prefer CE Ferulic
I purchased this 2 months ago to help with my acne. I have not noticed a huge improvement. I feel like my skin is brighter and more moisturized with the CE Ferulic product. I have been combining this with the Retexturizing Activator. It is not my favorite. It is also very runny and hard to spread due to the watery consistency.

I Think This Might Be MY Holy Grail!
Earlier in the year I went to a medical aesthetician to work on acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, and uneven texture. I did a huge treatment of microneedling and photofacials and at the time, my aesthetician recommended the SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF. Because of my combo, often oily, skin the Phloretin CF was her answer to lighten skin, control oil, and defend against future breakouts. Fast forward about 8 months and everything was going great. The treatments gave me a huge improvement and I was now on a maintenance schedule. I saw a sudden change in my job which significantly decreased my salary and afraid to go back to drugstore products, I looked at the C + AHA. I liked that I could combine 2 steps in one and it was already cheaper than the Phloretin CF. I knew there was a chance it could cause breakouts on my oily skin, since it wasnt formulated like the Phloretin CF. But...I gave it a try. AND IT IS AMAZING! I use a 1% retinol every other night and like other reviewers mention, the morning after this stuff does tingle a little bit. I dont see any redness, just some tingle. It has a funky smell but it dissipates very quickly. If you use too much of this, it WILL leave a tacky feeling on your skin. A great reason to use no more than 4-5 drops, which means this stuff will last a LONG time. I opened this about 2 months ago and I have barely used the width of a finger from the top of the bottle. Even better? No breakouts, no blackheads, no nothing. I love that I have now combined my Vitamin C treatment with my AHA, which helps slough off all the dead skin from my retinol. It has brightened my skin, lessened forehead wrinkles and continues to smooth texture day-in and day-out. Also is cheaper than the Ferulic or Phloretin and it lasts just as long. 6 months or more, or so they say. When it arrived, it was a pale yellow color, like the photo, so I assume this is correct. I store it inside the box and under my bathroom sink so it stays cool and away from light. For application, I do 2-3 spritzes of a basic water toner to help spread and absorb the product. Then I put 4-5 drops on the back of my hand and use a fingertip to spread it all over my face. I let it sit 20 minutes, then follow up with moisturizer. Beautiful! I love this and am glad I gave it a go despite other recommendations contrary to my budget. So glad I did not have to give up SkinCeuticals and have lessened my skincare steps and money spent.

I can't live without this product!
I am at the point where I am concerned with aging, but still experience break outs. I have some acne scaring as well as sun damage. I have been using this product for about a year and within that time I have noticed definite improvement in the number and severity of breakouts and my skin texture. It has also faded many of the sunspots and acne scaring. This product has helped so much that I feel confident in not wearing foundation everyday, which has never before happened. This product is by far my favorite and worth every penny.

There are tons of other vitamin C + AHA alternatives out there and especially now with the trends many brands are making them cheaper and cheaper. I was really excited to try this product after reading reviews. unfortunately it made my break out. It was also a bit sticky and leaves an orange stain. I use the c e serum with no problems. It's the only thing that works and doesn't make me break out.
