SkinCeuticals Blemish + Age Defense is an advanced solution to help eliminate adult acne while addressing wrinkles, fine lines and uneven skin tone. A combination of 2% dioic acid with alpha and beta hydroxy acids prevent blemishes while diminishing hyperpigmentation and reducing wrinkles and fine lines. This targeted treatment also inhibits excess of sebum production, unclogs pores and helps prevent skin darkening from UV exposure.

My Skin Soaks this up!
Something about this serum just feels so good and right on my skin! My skin takes to it so well with zero interpretation. I have large pores with comedonal acne. Slowly, this product has improved both, not entirely, but definitely improved. Plus, this feels better for my skin than retinoid (less irritating) and better for aging than a typical acne serum. Will be purchasing again to see if any more improvements come.

The only thing that has helped
About 2-3 months ago I had a bout of horrible hormonal acne. It started on my chin and moved to my jawline and then my neck. My skin has never been perfect, but the outbreak was overwhelming. Gave me more acne
I really wanted to love this product, but unfortunately it didn't work for my skin. I got more acne as a result of using this product, which is the opposite of what it is supposed to do. At first I thought I was just purging, but after using it for 2 weeks consistently without improvement and making my skin worse, I decided to return it. Great Spot Treatment
I decided to try this product because, although I use Retin-A at night, I still needed something to get rid of my blackheads. The fact that this serum contains a combination of both alpha and beta hydroxy acids, as well as dioic acid made it sound like a winner to me! I alternate nights, using Retin-A on one night then SkinCeuticals Blemish + Age Defense on the next night. I do layer a moisturizer over this serum because it does contain a lot of alcohol and dries my skin out (and I have very oily skin). The day after I use the Blemish and Age Defense, my skin is a little flaky, but nothing some moisturizer can't fix. I also feel like, with time, the flakiness will diminish. Overall, I do notice a definite reduction in the amount of blackheads my skin has, especially on my nose. The other thing I noticed about this product is that it is GREAT as a spot treatment for blemishes. If I get a blemish and put this on a few times a day, the blemish pretty much disappears overnight. All of this anti-acne goodness plus wrinkle fighting power makes this product a definite win for me!
