SkinCeuticals Blemish + Age Defense is an advanced solution to help eliminate adult acne while addressing wrinkles, fine lines and uneven skin tone. A combination of 2% dioic acid with alpha and beta hydroxy acids prevent blemishes while diminishing hyperpigmentation and reducing wrinkles and fine lines. This targeted treatment also inhibits excess of sebum production, unclogs pores and helps prevent skin darkening from UV exposure.
Key Ingredients:
- 2% Dioic Acid: naturally derived from vegetables, this ingredient helps reduce excess sebum
- 0.3% LHA (Caproloyl Salicylic Acid): a lipo-hydroxy acid, LHA, evenly exfoliates skin, decongests pores, and refines the skin’s surface
- 1.5% Salicylic Acid: a beta-hydroxy acid refines pores and helps reduce the formation of acne

Made skin worse!
I really wanted this product to work, but it ended up making my acne much worse. I have naturally oily skin, and this product made my skin look very dull and dry.

Caused more acne, including cystic acne.
My skin didn't like this serum at all. I REALLY wanted this to work but the more I used it, the worse my acne became. It also caused painful cystic acne. I was forced to stop using it. When I did, the cystic acne went away and the other less severe hormonal acne remained. I'm so bummed. I was hoping to be one of the success stories.

Repeat purchase-it works!
I have had hormonal breakouts on my chin for years and have tried many brands and lines to find a solution. I ordered the kit that this serum comes with in May and recently reorderd just the serum itself. This works. At first I tried to use it twice a day because I am no stranger to acids but it did dry me out a lot. I stopped using it for a couple of days and hydrated my skin and then began using it again only at night. I found that the bottle only lasted me 3 months which is a bummer since it is so expensive but I did repurchase it because I don't want to be without it. I still use the cleanser and toner that comes in the kit and still have some left and think they will last 6 months with once daily use. I use the cleanser in the morning and the toner and serum at night and just use a basic moisturizer. It works for me and I'm very relieved!
