SkinCeuticals Blemish + Age Defense is an advanced solution to help eliminate adult acne while addressing wrinkles, fine lines and uneven skin tone. A combination of 2% dioic acid with alpha and beta hydroxy acids prevent blemishes while diminishing hyperpigmentation and reducing wrinkles and fine lines. This targeted treatment also inhibits excess of sebum production, unclogs pores and helps prevent skin darkening from UV exposure.
Key Ingredients:
- 2% Dioic Acid: naturally derived from vegetables, this ingredient helps reduce excess sebum
- 0.3% LHA (Caproloyl Salicylic Acid): a lipo-hydroxy acid, LHA, evenly exfoliates skin, decongests pores, and refines the skin’s surface
- 1.5% Salicylic Acid: a beta-hydroxy acid refines pores and helps reduce the formation of acne
- 3.5% Glycolic Acid and 0.5% Citric Acid: these alpha-hydroxy acids work synergistically to smooth skin and minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

I am in my late fifties and still get blemishes...ugh! However, SkinCeuticals Blemish Age Defense really does work. I swear, after a couple of days using only at night, my chin area clears up without any dryness. I prefer this over Retinol A. I think it has helped my texture as well. Good stuff!

finally a line of products that works for me
I have dealt with acne for over 20 years now and tried everything from OTC items to prescription items. I wouldn't say I have sensitive skin, but some products, especially products with vitamin a derivatives and benzoyl peroxide would give me red skin or just wouldn't work. Since I've found Skinceuticals blemish age defense line, my skin hasn't broken out as much (an occasional cyst-like acne a few times a year). I recommend starting slow with this product (especially if you are doing the 3 step regimen) as it can be a little drying. It is worth the price and lasts quite a while.
