SkinCeuticals Blemish + Age Defense is an advanced solution to help eliminate adult acne while addressing wrinkles, fine lines and uneven skin tone. A combination of 2% dioic acid with alpha and beta hydroxy acids prevent blemishes while diminishing hyperpigmentation and reducing wrinkles and fine lines. This targeted treatment also inhibits excess of sebum production, unclogs pores and helps prevent skin darkening from UV exposure.
Key Ingredients:
- 2% Dioic Acid: naturally derived from vegetables, this ingredient helps reduce excess sebum
- 0.3% LHA (Caproloyl Salicylic Acid): a lipo-hydroxy acid, LHA, evenly exfoliates skin, decongests pores, and refines the skin’s surface
- 1.5% Salicylic Acid: a beta-hydroxy acid refines pores and helps reduce the formation of acne

Holy Grail acne serum
SkinCeuticals Blemish + Age Defense serum was recommended by my aesthetician to keep my hormonal acne at bay. The results were amazing but I finished the bottle quickly which made me hesitant to buy again given the price. I tried switching to The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% solution and quickly realized SkinCeuticals Blemish + Age Defense is the only salicylic acid serum I'll ever use. The Ordinary's product was thick, foamy, and dried quickly not in a good way. SkinCeuticals has a great consistency and works well with any other serums (I use SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF Gel, PCA Skin Hyaluronic Acid Serum) I do think it needs be paired with a moisturizing agent.

I think overall this product was pretty impressive. Although I wish I saw a complete wipe out of blemishes, the amount this product did help was significant. It did not smell at all or leave any film or overly dry out my face at all. I never even noticed it was on! I think overall I would recommend.

I'm so thankful for this product! It's been a blessing from the GOOD LORD! I had been using Retin A to keep hormonal acne at bay. My face was irritated and red. Great for adult acne
I was surprised by how well this serum has worked - I get hormonal acne and also have aging skin (aka more fine lines, more dryness, less firm) and this serum addresses all these issues. As someone else noted, I was worried about there being alcohol in the ingredients and that causing dryness but that has not been an issue. My acne has been reduced and it layers great with my SkinCueticals Vit C serum. If I skip a night, I can tell the next day.

this product dried out my skin if i used it more than 1/day the bottle says to work up to 3 times per day which will never happen with me and i believe i have pretty normal skin not sensitive at all. I hate the dropper bottle i ended up buying a pump bottle off amazon to keep the product in.
