SkinCeuticals Blemish + Age Defense is an advanced solution to help eliminate adult acne while addressing wrinkles, fine lines and uneven skin tone. A combination of 2% dioic acid with alpha and beta hydroxy acids prevent blemishes while diminishing hyperpigmentation and reducing wrinkles and fine lines. This targeted treatment also inhibits excess of sebum production, unclogs pores and helps prevent skin darkening from UV exposure.
Key Ingredients:
- 2% Dioic Acid: naturally derived from vegetables, this ingredient helps reduce excess sebum
- 0.3% LHA (Caproloyl Salicylic Acid): a lipo-hydroxy acid, LHA, evenly exfoliates skin, decongests pores, and refines the skin’s surface
- 1.5% Salicylic Acid: a beta-hydroxy acid refines pores and helps reduce the formation of acne

Best product for my oily and acne prone skin
Have had oily and acne prone skin all my life. At age 45, I have just found Blemish+Age Defense. My acne's cleared up in a few days and barely have any new breakout since I've started using it. This is my 3rd bottle now - applying twice a day. I can't live without it.

Good serum !
This is good chemical exfoliant. Helps prevent acne when used consistently. But in terms of reducing it when you have a breakout, it's certainly not a miracle worker.

Clarifying without stripping
I use this on targeted T-Zone areas and mostly my chin and only during breakouts. After a few days of use I did notice improvement. I used it in conjunction with the hydra serum so I didn't over dry.

It burned my skin
When I first used this product it did not improve my acne at all and made my skin sensitive. I decided to give it a break and after few weeks I used it again and it burned my skin. My skin got burned and very sensitive. I took pictures and you can see the burn marks all over my face, but specially where I had acne. For a week the only thing a could use was thermal water from Avene. Not even the lightest lotion was tolerated by my skin after that. The healing process took more than a week. I do not recommend this product, specially if you have sensitive skin. I had to go to the dermatologist after that and they prescribed a product that was half of the price and actually improved my acne. Be careful with what you put on your face. An expensive brand does not mean it will work.

Blemish and Age Defense
I just received the product about a week and a half ago. I really like it, it is quite strong though. You will smell the alcohol in it, but it works. I would suggest to slowly incorporate this into your routine, and I wouldn't mix it with any retinol or any AHA's. It has glycolic acid in it and also salicylic acid. Just go easy, and I think if you have blemishes this will definitely help.
