A combination of 2% dioic acid with alpha and beta hydroxy acids prevent blemishes while diminishing hyperpigmentation and reducing wrinkles and fine lines. This targeted treatment also inhibits excess of sebum production, unclogs pores and helps prevent skin darkening from UV exposure.

Great for hormonal acne/pregnancy!

I have always had issues with minor build up, mainly in T zone, but ever since I got pregnant, my skin started getting a lot of build up. I had to stop using retinol when I got pregnant since it's bad to be using, so I knew I needed something that was safe to use but still got the job done. I did my research to make sure all the acid levels in this were safe! I have been using a little over a month now, and my skin has all cleared up and my overall skin tone has brightened. This product is amazing, gets rid of acne/build up without drying out skin! I will continue to use this even after I'm pregnant because I just LOVE everything it does for my skin. The best product I have EVER used

I never reviewed I product before. I received this product on Monday and it is Wednesay, I can honestly say I have different skin. I was getting hormonal acne, and at 34 starting to see fine lines and my forhead just didnt seem smooth and glowy anymore. In three days all those problems are literally gone! Every small bump on my face is gone, fine lines are much smoother, my face feels tighter, but not dry. I have never had skin like this and again it has only been three days! You must buy this product!

Not too harsh, but also not great

I've been told that Skinceuticals is magical, but perhaps that's with the C E Ferulic serum and/or Hyaluronic Acids. For me, this is meh. It's not bad, but for the price point, I'd rather get Differin Gel and save $40-$50. I've been using it for just over a month, and while it's gently minimized my hormonal acne, I don't feel like it's done a significantly better job than any other salicylic acid-based solution.

Works Well With Cystic Acne

I had stopped taking the pill and oh dear, I was hit hard with painful cystic acne, especially around the jawline and cheeks. And the scaring was awful. I found a great article written by a lady who suffered the same and one product she recommended was Allies of Skin Promise Keep Blemish Sleeping Facial which worked nicely, but I needed more as my skin had scarred badly and I still would get some pimples, albeit not as much. When they did appear this time, they did not go away as fast. I then discovered SkinCeuticals Blemish & Age Defense and every morning and nightly with retinol I apply a layer to my jawline. I RARELY see a breakout now. If I do, I make sure I target it with Blemish & Age Defense. What I see happen is, although the pimple is there, it does not grow and goes away SO much faster than before. I have so many different SkinCeuticals products now and I could not be more pleased!
