SkinCeuticals Blemish + Age Defense is an advanced solution to help eliminate adult acne while addressing wrinkles, fine lines and uneven skin tone. A combination of 2% dioic acid with alpha and beta hydroxy acids prevent blemishes while diminishing hyperpigmentation and reducing wrinkles and fine lines. This targeted treatment also inhibits excess of sebum production, unclogs pores and helps prevent skin darkening from UV exposure.
Key Ingredients:
- 2% Dioic Acid: naturally derived from vegetables, this ingredient helps reduce excess sebum
- 0.3% LHA (Caproloyl Salicylic Acid): a lipo-hydroxy acid, LHA, evenly exfoliates skin, decongests pores, and refines the skin’s surface
- 1.5% Salicylic Acid: a beta-hydroxy acid refines pores and helps reduce the formation of acne

Great BHA
I really like this acid. It has good ingredients that are noncomedogenic. It goes on smooth, dries fast, and can be used morning and night. It doesn't feel particularly drying, but definitely exfoliates when used regularly. I combined it with a prescription retinol and have not had issues. I do wish SC would put their products in pump form so they don't get exposed to air.

Might have worked well if it dried
I was really excited to try this product but when it came I was disappointed. It has .5% more salicylic acid than the acne gel I currently use so I really wanted to love it, but it took soooo long to dry on my face. After applying a thin layer as spot treatment about 30mins before bed I went to lay down after and it made me stick to the pillow. I'm sure it works but I just don't have that kind of time to wait for it to dry on my skin. Disappointed.

skin care routine essential!
I was recommended this product by my aesthetician a year ago and can not thank her enough! I use this product nightly and have noticed a reduction in my breakouts (no noticeable anti-aging effects in my opinion). The only downside is that I've noticed some skin drying when I miss an application. For reference, I'm in my late 20s and have oily acne prone skin.

Magic potion
I haven't been using this product that long but I feel it already warrants a review. I have blemish prone skin which particularly flares up at that time of month. I apply a thin layer of this to my face once a day and I have already noticed a considerable difference in the amount of breakouts I'm seeing and then if I do see one coming up I just tab the area after cleansing and it just clears up before it really does anything. This hasn't completely eliminated my breakouts but honestly I am so happy with what it is doing so far and I'm excited to see what it will do over more time.

Effective on hormonal acne
