SkinCeuticals Blemish + Age Defense is an advanced solution to help eliminate adult acne while addressing wrinkles, fine lines and uneven skin tone. A combination of 2% dioic acid with alpha and beta hydroxy acids prevent blemishes while diminishing hyperpigmentation and reducing wrinkles and fine lines. This targeted treatment also inhibits excess of sebum production, unclogs pores and helps prevent skin darkening from UV exposure.
Key Ingredients:
- 2% Dioic Acid: naturally derived from vegetables, this ingredient helps reduce excess sebum
- 0.3% LHA (Caproloyl Salicylic Acid): a lipo-hydroxy acid, LHA, evenly exfoliates skin, decongests pores, and refines the skin’s surface
- 1.5% Salicylic Acid: a beta-hydroxy acid refines pores and helps reduce the formation of acne

I didn't see any effects
I like how this makes my skin feel after application - almost as if it's an astringent. However, I felt like I needed to use a lot of product to spread over my entire face. And I had to be careful about using it in the hot summer months, because it had a tendency to make my skin shiny. I didn't see that it helped my skin much. I wouldn't recommend or purchase again.

I went through several bottles of this over the course of a year and didn't notice any improvements in my acne-prone skin. My skin still broke out the same as if I wasn't using anything. This aside, the product is understandably very liquidy and runs down your fingers quickly, so some product does go to waste when applying.

Good stuff
I have issues with blackheads/large pores. I heard that Salicylic Acid is great in helping this. Like all skincare products, it takes time for it to work. I did see results and my friends and family did, too! Mum would ask why my skin looks so smooth and clear. I've order more! I use it morning and night (bottle says you can). Everyone's skin is different, though! So if it dries your skin out too much, don't use it every day.

Game changer
I suffer from adult acne with sporadic breakouts or the occasional small bumps, hormonal flare ups from my time of month, and maskne and this product has done wonders for my skin! On a bad skin day I'll use it once in the morning and again at night and I can feel my pimples drying out within hours. If I'm not having an active breakout I'll use it a few times a week at night only to keep things clear. I have dry skin and it is a bit drying on the skin, but it is so worth it to just use extra moisturizer because of the way it has cleared up my skin! My skin also feels firmer from the anti-aging benefits so that's a great added bonus for an acne product. On my last leg of my first bottle now and went ahead and ordered a second bottle because I couldn't bear to be without it!
