SkinCeuticals Blemish + Age Defense is an advanced solution to help eliminate adult acne while addressing wrinkles, fine lines and uneven skin tone. A combination of 2% dioic acid with alpha and beta hydroxy acids prevent blemishes while diminishing hyperpigmentation and reducing wrinkles and fine lines. This targeted treatment also inhibits excess of sebum production, unclogs pores and helps prevent skin darkening from UV exposure.
Key Ingredients:
- 2% Dioic Acid: naturally derived from vegetables, this ingredient helps reduce excess sebum
- 0.3% LHA (Caproloyl Salicylic Acid): a lipo-hydroxy acid, LHA, evenly exfoliates skin, decongests pores, and refines the skin’s surface
- 1.5% Salicylic Acid: a beta-hydroxy acid refines pores and helps reduce the formation of acne
- 3.5% Glycolic Acid and 0.5% Citric Acid: these alpha-hydroxy acids work synergistically to smooth skin and minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

Wow. Problem solved.
This cleans out my pores and gets emerging blemishes on their way to healing with a single application. The hardest part is figuring out when to rotate it in with a retinol at night, as I don't recommend using it during the day. Can be a bit drying, but nothing problematic. Great product.

This product helps with white heads and blackheads. It hasn’t helped me with cyst acne. It’s not as good as prescription topicals I use for acne. However, when I am taking a break from the prescription creams Age Defense is the next best option. I haven’t seen it help with aging in any way. It can be drying to the skin. It’s not great but it’s good.

I do like this product. When I can’t use a prescription cream for acne I switch to the Age Defense. It does help keep acne at bay. It doesn’t work well for cyst acne. It can be drying on the face. It doesn’t help with aging, only acne. Overall, it’s the best nonprescription treatment I have found.
