SkinCeuticals Blemish + Age Defense is an advanced solution to help eliminate adult acne while addressing wrinkles, fine lines and uneven skin tone. A combination of 2% dioic acid with alpha and beta hydroxy acids prevent blemishes while diminishing hyperpigmentation and reducing wrinkles and fine lines. This targeted treatment also inhibits excess of sebum production, unclogs pores and helps prevent skin darkening from UV exposure.
Key Ingredients:
- 2% Dioic Acid: naturally derived from vegetables, this ingredient helps reduce excess sebum
- 0.3% LHA (Caproloyl Salicylic Acid): a lipo-hydroxy acid, LHA, evenly exfoliates skin, decongests pores, and refines the skin’s surface
- 1.5% Salicylic Acid: a beta-hydroxy acid refines pores and helps reduce the formation of acne
- 3.5% Glycolic Acid and 0.5% Citric Acid: these alpha-hydroxy acids work synergistically to smooth skin and minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

Expensive but helpful
I find that this has been helping my skin with decreasing pimples however it can get a little drying so I alternate days and make sure to add some hydration serum on top. I use this at night and you can feel it tingling as soon as you put it on. That might bother some that have really sensitive skin.

I tried this after using a different “holy grail” serum by another brand that left me underwhelmed and my skin irritated. This product was cheaper and worked better for my skin. I took away one star because if I use more than two drops, my skin gets irritated, puffy, and inflamed. I highly recommend this product and finding the cadence of use that works for your skin.

Has not irritated me like many other salicylic acid products
I have used this product a lot, and it does not irritate my skin like a lot of salicylic acid products. It appears to work well on most of my newly acquired acne, but not as much on the tougher, hormonal acne on my neck and jawline.
