SkinCeuticals Advanced Pigment Corrector targets stubborn discoloration with an innovative formula designed to restore skin's natural radiance. Salicylic acid exfoliates the skin to fade existing dark spots and enhances the penetration of other key ingredients. Hydroxyphenoxy propionic acid inhibits melanin production, preventing further hyperpigmentation from occurring. Ellagic acid reduces dark spots and discoloration.
Key Ingredients:
- 0.3% Salicylic Acid: helps eliminate dull, discolored surface cells
- 1% Hydroxyphenoxy Propionic Acid: non-toxic derivative of hydroquinone helps fade the appearance of discoloration and improve uneven skin tone
- 0.5% Ellagic Acid: a naturally occurring polyphenol antioxidant found in the tara plant (caesalpinia spinosa) that has been shown to help improve the look of skin discoloration

Didn't do anything for me
I suffer of very dark spots and lately of melasma. I have tried almost everything to treat the melasma in my cheeks and my upper lip and I can say that this cream doesn't really work. Had zero improvement and have been using it for 4 months already. Will keep using it until it finishes but will not reorder this anymore.

Not bad! Not Perfect!
I waited a while to review this because I wanted to give it a fair chance. It does fade some of the spots. Not quite as much,so far, as I would like,or as quick as I'd like. I grew up in Hawaii during the baby oil era,so I have many areas of sunspots. I am going to finish the entire tube before I decide if it's going to be reordered. For folks that think it's making the discoloration worse,my advice is to remember to use sunscreen along with it. I haven't found that to be an issue. So maybe it is inhibiting formation of new areas of discoloration. Give it a try!

I haven't used this long enough to comment on it's efficacy. Just to comment on the texture-this is a cream that spreads easily, and has a matte finish. It's non-greasy and non-irritating, and has a scent reminiscent of elmer's glue-but in a good way!

I have been using this about a month and have noticed that it works. I usually rub any that's left on the top of my hands and have noticed it has faded some of those spots as well. I purchased a second tube to use after the first runs out.

Definitely works
I have melesma that I have struggled with for years. I like to switch between lightening ingredients because my skin becomes immune after awhile. This is the first time I used this product and it definitely lightened my dark spots. Some lighter freckles are completely gone. Of course they come back with sun exposure, so spf is a must.

I developed melasma for the first time and I'm freaking out! I bought this because Allure awarded it with Best of Beauty. I haven't noticed any improvement yet, but I think it will take more time. My only complaint is that the lotion clumps/ rolls up when I apply sunscreen on top of it. It would be nice if it absorbed a little better.

I really like the application of this product. It glides on and is extremely lightweight. Doesn't interfere with makeup or sunscreen, etc. It seems to be working so by the time I'm finished with the tube I should be seeing great results.
