SkinCeuticals' Adult Anti-Acne System reduces oil production and exfoliates the skin, which improves acne and diminishes the look of wrinkles. SkinCeuticals' Adult Anti-Acne System includes:
- LHA Cleansing Gel (8 fl. oz.): a potent cleanser with LHA, glycolic acid and salicylic acid , it unclogs pores, smooths irregularities and brightens skin.
- LHA Toner (8 fl. oz.): an exfoliating low-pH toner that efficiently removes excess residue and surface cells to decongest pores.
- Blemish and Age Defense (1 fl. oz.): a targeted, oil-free serum that prevents the formation of acne, minimizes blotchiness and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Key Ingredients:
- LHA: a lipo hydroxy acid, LHA exfoliates the skin, decongests clogged pores, refines the skin’s surface, and has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory effects.

Magic in three bottles!
This stuff is absolutely magical. I have not had any new breakouts since using this system. The cleanser is not drying, and feels so great. Though, I do with the packaging on the cleanser was better. Same with the toner. A lot of product just flows out of both. But, I still do love them. The serum is also amazing, though it dries down insanely fast, so distribution on your face must be quick. Overall, I have seen amazing results with this system. My minor complaints would not stop me from repurchasing!

Absolutely TRY THIS if you have hormonal Acne!
I have been battling new onset hormonal acne for the past 10 months and was feeling so discouraged with every new breakout it would leave a purple scar. I tried other brands without much change, but within days of starting this regime im GLOWING and CLEAR. I cant stop checking myself out in the mirror. Its day and night difference. The only down side is that it is drying, and I'll have to purchase an oil free moisturizer to keep my cheeks from drying out too much. My T zone is oily so It doesn't get dry.

This System Improved My Face Significantly
I am not one to typically write reviews, but this system truly changed my face. After turning 30, my face broke out like a pubescent teenager again. I went to a dermatologist - tried minocyclene and a prescribed topical (can't remember the name) and that did not help. It was super frustrating and what's worse is I like to work out on a pretty consistent basis and tend to sweat a lot - which made breakouts 10x worse. After 3-4 weeks, my breakouts decreased and when I did break out, my skin would heal super quickly. Great starter kit for battling acne
I felt like this kit made a difference on my skin. After finishing all of the products, I have since re-purchased the blemish serum and the LHA toner. My only issue is with the packaging for the toner and cleanser. It's terrible and a lot of product ends up leaking out, so that's why I'm removing a star.

This saved my skin
Since my 35th birthday my previously clear skin was plagued by adult acne. I had small bumps all along my chin and jaw, and where I used to get one or two larger blemishs a week before my period I was dealing with 3 or 4 deep, painful blemishes that would heal in time just to deal with the next round. I have tried EVERYTHING. I've purchased salicylic acid, AHAs, serums, toners, moisturizers, oils... From drugstore to luxury and nothing calmed or cleared my skin for the past 16 months. I cut back on everything but cleanser and moisturizer for 40 days and let my skin reset. In the meantime I was searching for a new acne cleanser and I came across several great reviews for the Skinceuticals Acne cleanser. Unfortunately it was sold out EVERYWHERE. I found this kit and in desperation I figured I would buy the whole system and I am SO THANKFUL I did. I used the system the first night I received it, and again in the morning. As I sat to do my makeup that day I noticed the tiny breakouts/bumps scattered around my chin were dried out. This was within 12 hours and only two rounds of this system. Since then things have gotten better. During my period, I had two blemishes pop up but they retreated quickly, within 2-3 days, as opposed to weeks of them hanging around. I've only been using this system going on 3 weeks and I'm honestly so impressed already. As for the products themselves, they don't stink, they don't irritate my sensitive skin, but they're powerful and get the job done. This was hands down the best skin care purchase I've ever made and I've already purchased more products from this brand. My only issue is the packaging, but the products are like liquid gold so I'll deal. The cleanser is very liquidy so it would fair better in a pump style bottle as opposed to a standing bottle like this. The toner pours out quickly from this type of bottle top so you need to be very careful not to overpour and waste product. I'd like to see one of those bottles that requires a little shaking or squeezing to get the toner to drop out.

Horrible, very harsh
STEER CLEAR OF THIS LINE!!! I've been struggling with hormonal, cystic acne since 21yo (now 26). I was coming off birth control and had breakouts in the jawline and chin area. As this line was specifically marketed towards adults, I decided to try WITHOUT CHECKING THE MAIN INACTIVE INGREDIENTS, which was my mistake. The first main "inactive" ingredients of the toner and serum is ALCOHOL DENAT. which is HORRIBLE for acne and for the skin in general. Every dermatologist and esthetician I have been to said you need to keep your skin calm and super moisturized to prevent weak, dry, and inflamed skin, even if your skin is on the oily side. Dry skin = more oil production = more acne. The first thing you smell when using the toner and serum is pure pure rubbing alcohol. I decided to try it anyway but the first time I broke out in a horrible rash and my acne was more red and inflamed. It's better now but the inflammation left dark marks/discoloration. Then comes the return process... I returned using the return label provided by Dermstore. I dropped off the package at the post office with another package, and my Dermstore return package mysteriously disappeared, no tracking, no emails notification of receipt, no nothing. I called the post office to report it missing, sent Dermstore customer service an email, and after hours on the phone and almost 3 weeks of waiting, no response from Dermstore and the post office lost claim came back 'inconclusive'. I gave Dermstore a call and the sweet customer service agent confirmed the package was NOT received by their warehouse. I asked for a refund anyways since it's THEIR return service that led to my package being lost. The agent put me on hold to check if she can do that, and then she miraculously said they received the package and issued me a store credit. THAT WAS SUPER SHADY. If I never called, they would've just kept my money and kept my returned product for their own profit? After checking reviews on Dermstore online, similar incidents were reported. SUPER SKETCHY. After using my store credit on items that I will most likely not return, I am never going to order from Dermstore. I will look to Space NK, Sephora, etc. for my skincare needs.
