SkinCeuticals' Adult Anti-Acne System reduces oil production and exfoliates the skin, which improves acne and diminishes the look of wrinkles. Designed to alleviate adult acne, these products also correct the signs of damage resulting from blemishes and aging, such as enlarged pores, rough texture and fine lines.
SkinCeuticals' Adult Anti-Acne System includes:
- LHA Cleansing Gel (8 fl. oz.): a potent cleanser with LHA, glycolic acid and salicylic acid , it unclogs pores, smooths irregularities and brightens skin.
- LHA Toner (8 fl. oz.): an exfoliating low-pH toner that efficiently removes excess residue and surface cells to decongest pores.
- Blemish and Age Defense (1 fl. oz.): a targeted, oil-free serum that prevents the formation of acne, minimizes blotchiness and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Key Ingredients:
- LHA: a lipo hydroxy acid, LHA exfoliates the skin, decongests clogged pores, refines the skin’s surface, and has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory effects.
- Glycolic Acid: this alpha hydroxy acid eliminates dead skin cell buildup and improves skin hydration.
- Salicylic Acid: this beta hydroxy acid refines pores and helps reduce acne.

LHA Cleansing Gel: Apply twice daily, gently massage a small amount into wet face and neck. Rinse thoroughly with water. Follow with LHA Solution.
LHA Toner: Apply twice daily after using LHA Cleansing Gel. Spray a small amount onto cotton ball and smooth over face, neck and chest. Follow with LHA Serum.

These are the first 3 steps of my day routine and I've continued to purchase them for more than 3 years, even though I've tried tons of top-shelf consumer products and high-tech medical formulations since then. Just aggressive enough without any discomfort or irritation. Blemish and Age is the foundation of my day routine because it is potent yet thin while all of my comparably effective acne treatments are significantly thicker/heavier gels and creams. In my daytime routine, 6 products follow my acne treatment step, so product absorption/buildup is a big concern, especially if I want to put makeup on top of it all. I've never been disappointed by Skinceuticals. If anyone is interested, the products in my routine that follow these (not counting 2 thin serums from my doctor) are Avene Hydrance Serum, followed by Skinceuticals Metacell, followed by Skinceuticals A.G.E. eye cream, followed by Skinceuticals Physical Fusion SPF 50, followed by Avene Tinted Compact SPF 50. Yes, I wear 2 layers of physical sunscreen every day. Melasma is an uphill battle.

Great product poor packaging
Love this brand, love the results, love the feeling and smell. The packaging is so poor on the toner it leaks when you travel and it's at sideways. The face wash packaging leaks also.

I really like this product. I have been using it for about three weeks. I had to figure out how much often to use the serum as it dried out my face in some areas. The first week of use both the toner and serum stung when applied. That has since subsided. The packaging of the face wash is horrible. It leaks very badly. I have to store the bottle upside-down. Overall I do see a difference in my skin, it also feels smoother.

Anti-Acne Overload
These products individually are great and can help control acne. However, all three at once in a skin care regimen simply dries out the skin and does not aide in getting rid of acne. Used all at once inflames and reddens the skin more. Use the blemish and age defense once or twice at night and the toner every other day. Find what works for your skin but I highly recommend not using all three daily.

I am pregnant and have been struggling with acne. I have been using the set for a little over a week now, and I can tell it's working. It did cause some initial additional breakouts which I believe is due to the line bringing acne to the service. It also caused some dry patches, which is expected due to the ingredients. So be sure to use moisturizer. I really love the three products and find it is working really well overall. The only thing I recommend is using a pre cleanser to get your makeup off first. I love it and worth the money!!!

My daughter recommended this skincare routine - her skin is looking better than it ever has. I don't have acne but this skincare range has brightened the tone of my skin and improved the fine lines around my eyes. My forehead is positively shining, both blemish-free and line-free. I love it. The only negative thing I can say is that the packaging has some faults. I agree with a review below that the cleanser leaks very badly when standing on the counter. The toner dispenser allows too much to come out at once AND the residue collects around the opening to create a horrible crusty tide mark. I feel like I waste product on both these items. The serum dropper takes some getting used to, but I've got the hang of that now. Overall, love the product, but disappointed with the packaging.
