SkinCeuticals' Adult Anti-Acne System reduces oil production and exfoliates the skin, which improves acne and diminishes the look of wrinkles. Designed to alleviate adult acne, these products also correct the signs of damage resulting from blemishes and aging, such as enlarged pores, rough texture and fine lines.
SkinCeuticals' Adult Anti-Acne System includes:
- LHA Cleansing Gel (8 fl. oz.): a potent cleanser with LHA, glycolic acid and salicylic acid , it unclogs pores, smooths irregularities and brightens skin.
- LHA Toner (8 fl. oz.): an exfoliating low-pH toner that efficiently removes excess residue and surface cells to decongest pores.
- Blemish and Age Defense (1 fl. oz.): a targeted, oil-free serum that prevents the formation of acne, minimizes blotchiness and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Key Ingredients:
- LHA: a lipo hydroxy acid, LHA exfoliates the skin, decongests clogged pores, refines the skin’s surface, and has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory effects.
- Glycolic Acid: this alpha hydroxy acid eliminates dead skin cell buildup and improves skin hydration.
- Salicylic Acid: this beta hydroxy acid refines pores and helps reduce acne.
- Dioic Acid: the naturally derived vegetable acid helps reduce sebum.

LHA Cleansing Gel: Apply twice daily, gently massage a small amount into wet face and neck. Rinse thoroughly with water. Follow with LHA Solution.
LHA Toner: Apply twice daily after using LHA Cleansing Gel. Spray a small amount onto cotton ball and smooth over face, neck and chest. Follow with LHA Serum.
Blemish and Age Defense: Clean the skin thoroughly before applying product. Cover the entire affected area with a thin layer in the morning and evening. For optimal results, use as part of the Blemish and Age Program, starting with Cleanser and LHA solution.

Favorite Adult Acne Product Used to Date
I was so hesitant to purchase this because it is not the cheapest line to buy, but after years of struggling with breakouts and being well into my 30s, I finally caved. Wish I would have purchased this sooner - not only is it treating my breakouts, but I am noticing a difference in the oiliness and complexion of my skin. Only complaint is the face wash bottle - they need to redo the design, it is leaky and more comes out than I need.

Poor Packaging and Very Drying
I was recommended the face cleanser and toner by the estheticians through Dermstore for my cystic acne. Packaging is nice, but when I opened the box the toner was leaking out. The consistency of the cleanser is very watery. To dispense into your hands you just need to tip the bottle over and the cleanser comes pouring out. I can see wasting a lot of product because of this. The product itself was overall very drying on my skin. I read other review which already stated this, but I have pretty oily skin so I thought it would be okay. This product dried out my skin to the point that if I moved my mouth the skin around that area would peel. I have never used a toner before and I still don't understand the benefits. On a positive side, I am glad I was able to purchase a kit so that I could try a variety of products instead of just one. Still on the hunt for a good cleanser!
