Pricey but well worth the money
I have been hearing about the SK-II Essence my entire life. I grew up in China, and being an Asian brand, SK-II was already extremely well-known in Asia way before it became popular in the States. I received a sample of the essence a month ago. After trying it for only a few nights and receiving instant results, I decided to bite the bullet and purchased the 11oz bottle. The main ingredient, Pitera (a yeast-based broth), is a miracle worker. Although this product has a very distinctive smell, I saw the texture of my extremely-sensitive skin improve after one use. I use 2 pumps every night, and distribute the product using my hands to ensure minimal wastage and maximum absorption. Give this product a try, I promise you will not regret it!

It makes your skin brighter but it also made my combination sensitive skin super tight and the next day I broke out . don't get this essence at all . not for sensitive skin .

A holy grail product
I wish I could tell you this wasn't worth the price, but for me, it was. I started off with a two deluxe samples, and even though I was tempted to save them for special occasions, I made myself use them so I could really see if they made a difference. After finishing the first sample, my face - which was already in good condition - was noticeably smoother and just somehow better looking. I hate the price, but I'm definitely plotting my purchase of a large bottle.

Believe the hype
Goes on lightly and is immediately cooling. Hydrating. Refreshing. Does not sting eyes. No smell at all. I ration using it due to the price. I was hoping all I heard was just hype, but I do enjoy this and will likely repurchase.

Okay, but overpriced
I liked this, but did not see any amazing skin transformation. I can buy other essences for much less so will not be purchasing this again. I know it works wonders for some, but I just did not notice a difference in my skin.

Everyone needs an essence
Everyone needs an essence, not only does it give your skin extra hydration but it also prepares it for any other treatments or surems you use fallowing it. I do love this particular one mylsef but it is pricey. There are other option out there that will do the same thing for less money. But if you ever want to splurge on yourself then I say do it!

Luxe way to pamper
It's a lovely product. So simple & so luxe in one. If you are very much in to a skincare routine, all the steps & enjoy the process, this one is for you. A splurge yes, but if you are only going to pick one why not this one? It leaves a balanced face. Never irritation, just soothing, with no offensive smell in my opinion. Balance to me is the best way I can describe it! Since there is no real texture no real smell. I think with the Essence consistency is key, well isn't that always the case? I like what another reviewer said, save up your Dermstore points & put your credit towards this gem guilt free!

Amazing effect on skin!
This stuff is sooo expensive... but worth it! It makes your skin glow, with that soft translucence that is hard to describe. I definitely noticed a difference when I ran out!! You only need a tiny bit, so a bottle can easily last 6 months.
