Not what I expect from a dry shampoo
I just... did not like this. While it smelled good and helped absorb some oil (hence the two stars) it just left my hair feeling gross and chalky no matter how little or much I used. Tried to pass it off to my teenage son and it made his forehead breakout.

The scent alone is worth the purchase
My stylist recommended this for texture, more than as a dry shampoo. Once I got over that idea and flipped the two concepts, I've really enjoyed using this paste. My Asian hair is super straight and slick and currently on the short end of the spectrum. This paste does add enough texture to make it workable. No, it does not hold a style, but it makes it easier to work my hair into something that isn't a flat lifeless helmet. Note: If I don't shampoo for 3 days and use this every day, then there is some styling life to it. I can see how it might not work well on long hair, unless you want to freshen up the scalp only. My other go-to dry shampoo is SachaJuan Dark Volume Powder (also a great scent).

Works well for scalp
I'm not a huge fan of dry shampoo, I use it very sparingly. I like this paste more than a spray. I use it only for my scalp, not the entire length of my hair. I use it for second day old hair. It makes my hair a very interesting texture, a little bit crunchy and gives it some volume. This didn't bug me too much because I usually put my hair up anyway. I use a tiny amount, rub it in between my fingers until it turns softer and rub it in on my scalp.

Not My Favorite
I think this could be a good product for someone with shorter hair. I generally have shoulder-length or longer hair, and found that while this product does add texture and volume, it makes the hair on top of my head (where you apply it) look different than the mid-lengths and ends. I didn't feel like it made my hair feel "cleaner" the way dry shampoos that come in a powder or sprayable form do.

Smells awesome, does a nice job giving volume and helping with style but not sure its really the same as a dry shampoo. I find it leaves my hair a bit oiler than usual.

really great for bangs
I think the badlands dry shampoo paste is pretty excellent *depending on what you use it for*!!! as a general dry shampoo, i find it utterly impractical for use on the entire head (unless you have a pixie cut or something super short) my hairstylist suggested this product to me STRICTLY for my bangs. any bang-wearer can attest to the need for dry shampoo in order to keep them looking fresh. for me, my bangs are the first to look oily because the strands are so short. this product absorbs the excess oil from my hair and, because it's a paste, it keeps my bangs in place as well. a real bonus for me is that there is no cloud of powder after applying it, which is inevitable with dry shampoo sprays. i tend to get styes and eye aches (sometimes even headaches) from dry shampoo powder getting into my eyes, so this paste is a winner for me. it keeps my bangs looking fresh AND it protects my eyes from excess spray.

Not my thing
I tried this product because I have very oily hair and thought it would in tandem with the dry shampoo spray. I was a weird concept that just didn't' work for me. Maybe it would work better for someone with shorter hair. My hair is very long.

I wanted to love this
More of a styling paste than dry shampoo. I have long, straight hair and it made my scalp more greasy and my hair, heavy. It didn't feel clean at all. Might be better for short hair that wants a second, third day style. The texture is what is says, a semi sticky paste that needs to be rubbed in. I wanted to love it for the awesome ingredients and the divine scent.

I love it, but not for dry shampoo
Works really well to give my hair volume and texture on freshly washed hair, and keeps grease at bay a bit longer. Doesn't work as well for me as a dry shampoo on already greasy hair.
