Tangled tines
The tines get all tangled fairly quickly and are impossible to untangle. I found a brush cleaner that works with two sides - one with large metal tines and one with fine plastic tines; works like a dream.

Try to keep my hairbrushes clean but major frustration with the tiny circle's that remain around the bristles. Happy to see the Philip B Hairbrush Cleaner does a great job in getting these and my hairbrushes have never been this clean. The metal rake tends to bend and criss cross each other which is quite annoying. Maybe I'm "raking" to hard, don't know. Its a little expensive but for me its worth it.

Love this little device
I’ve always used a comb to remove hair from my hairbrushes. I bought this on impulse and it works so well I’m about to buy another. It takes no time at all to remove even shorter hair (unlike with a regular comb). The wires are thin and sometimes the bend the wrong way, but it’s simple to put them back in place. Highly recommend.

Great for cleaning my boar bristle brush
This is great for raking trapped hair out of my boar bristle brush. It's mile, and it works and it's small. I still have to wash my brush occasionally, but for getting out hair, this does a good job.
