Best Vit C I've ever tried
This serum is amazing and a top contender to Skinceuticals ce ferulic. This serum has a very lightweight gel like texture and instantly soaks in. Love how it has reduced redness, inflammation and spots.

Ferulic acid smell
The smell is from ferulic acid, not at all harmful. It's key in the best vitamin C products! "Ferulic acid is thought to help stabilize vitamin C while also increasing its photoprotection. Photoprotection refers to something's ability to minimize sun damage." "A 2005 study suggests that ferulic acid has the potential to offer twice the amount of photoprotection when combined with vitamins C and E. My Go-To Vitamin C
I started using this occasionally about a year ago, and when my friends (and even my husband!) started asking if I've gotten cosmetic injections, I started using it even more! (FYI - I've had zero injections.) This product opened my eyes to how awesome Vitamin C is, and it's now the first thing I recommend to anyone my age (early-to-mid-30s) to make their skin look amazing. Really fades dark spots, diminishes fine lines, plumps the skin up (especially when you pair with a good hyaluronic acid product), and gives me an instant glow. The only "major" skin treatment I get is an at-home microcurrent, and I feel like this pairs perfectly with that and makes the treatment work even better. It can feel a little oily, and sometimes gives me a "slick" look if I use too much, but it doesn't seem to break me out. I've never had an issue with the smell, and don't get the "smoky" comments, but I could be nose blind to that. This product is too good for that to be an issue for me, in any case. Long story short, try this serum first before you resort to injections!

Great serum
Brightening, moisturizing, and doesn't break me out. The smell dissipates quickly, so it's really not that bad. This serum is the best vitamin there is and I've tried a bunch.

Favorite Vitamin C Serum
I have tried several vitamin C serums, and I get the best results with this one. It's the only one with which I can see a visible difference on my neck wrinkles. This serum has a slightly oily, creamy consistency so it probably works best for dry or combination skin.

Not my favorite
This serum wasn't very effective for me, and it did take on that weird c serum smokey smell pretty quickly after I began using it. That scent was hard for me to get past. I saw better results from other c serums, so I did not finish the bottle nor repurchase.
