PCA Skin Smoothing Toner (formerly Smoothing Toner pHaze 23) purifies pores and removes dead skin cells for a clear, radiant complexion. Formulated with lactic and citric acids to promote clarity and smoothness while aloe calms and soothes. Ideal for use after cleansing to remove traces of dirt, oil and makeup, and before moisturizing to prepare the skin for treatment.
After cleansing with appropriate PCA Skin cleanser, moisten a cotton pad with a small amount of toner and apply in upward and outward strokes over the face and neck. Use once daily or as needed.

More like a treatment than a toner
I first tried Nutrient toner and it stung my face, I blamed pumpkin extract. After I tried the Smoothing toner it stung even worse so I realized it's not pumpkin, it's the lactic acid my skin doesn't like. Some people consider it as a good sign I take it as too irritating for my skin, so I won't be buying it again. Then, I pulled my ph strips to see how much balancing it really does as a toner supposed to, and I was shocked to find out that it was between 0-1! Wow, that is way too acidic. It may be good as a treatment if your skin can tolerate lactic acid, but then balance it back with greasy moisturizer after, I guess. Just didn't expect that from my favorite brand.

Too strong
This toner is too strong - I literally burned my skin, I stopped using it and will likely only use it once a week in the future. My skin is used to acids-based products so maybe a combination of them resulted in overall irritation and dryness - I might overdid it.

Very drying
This toner dried my skin out. I have normal to oily skin, so dry, flaky skin almost NEVER happens to me. I've used PCA's Nutrient Toner in the past - I should have stuck with that, if anything. Will be exchanging it tomorrow.
