PCA Skin Silkcoat Balm (formerly Silkcoat Balm - pHaze 20) is formulated to calm, soothe and moisturize extremely dry or damaged skin, as well as skin recovering from laser treatments, chemical peels and dermabrasion. An emollient blend of jojoba and olive oils promotes healing as it hydrates. Rosemary and lavender extracts diminish redness for a restored, comforted complexion.

After gently cleansing with appropriate PCA Skin cleanser, apply generously to area of treatment. Follow with appropriate PCA Skin sunscreen moisturizer during the day, nourishing moisturizer at night.

my 7th purchase
i have sensitive, dry but oily, pore clogging prone type of skin. i know its really hard to please my skin, i can't even use clarisonic because it's too harsh for my face. im not sure if i can say this is my holy grail product, but so far, i haven't found anything better than this. for me, it hydrates me without clogging my pores or breaking me out due to sensitivity. and i just find it really weird that it dries up pretty quickly too after applying this, which is why at first, i thought it wouldn't be moisturizing enough despite its claims to be for a post-procedural skin. i don't use this for that, but just use this because my skin is dry while being oily. it also has no fragrance either, which is a must for me as i get headaches with fragranced products. i use this daily as my am and pm moisturizer and use it up 1 per month which is fairly a lot of $$ down the road. so i tried to switch to cerave pm moisturizer, but definitely not hydrating enough for me and i got these sensitivity red small bumps too. right now, im just hoping that i can find a drugstore/more affordable moisturizer that can do what this does.

Not worth the money
I had high hopes for Silkcoat Balm but I ended up returning it because it balled up on my skin every single time. I didn't notice this right away when I was mixing Silkcoat with a lighter moisturizer for daytime wear, and I actually thought it was the sunscreen (also PCA, also returned). When used alone, Silkcoat balls up into so many little balls on my face that the only way to get rid of them is to wash my face. I went back to Paula's Choice Hydrating Treatment Cream, which is a little cheaper, comes in a tube, and absorbs into my skin beautifully without balling up.
