PCA Skin Silkcoat Balm (formerly Silkcoat Balm - pHaze 20) is formulated to calm, soothe and moisturize extremely dry or damaged skin, as well as skin recovering from laser treatments, chemical peels and dermabrasion. An emollient blend of jojoba and olive oils promotes healing as it hydrates. Rosemary and lavender extracts diminish redness for a restored, comforted complexion.

After gently cleansing with appropriate PCA Skin cleanser, apply generously to area of treatment. Follow with appropriate PCA Skin sunscreen moisturizer during the day, nourishing moisturizer at night.

Richer version of collagen hydrator
I really like this cream and it's at good price point compared to similar products. However, this is another strangely named product from PCA because balm to me implies a vaseline like texture. Just to clarify for everyone, this is a cream. It's actually very similar to PCA's collagen hydrator (which did not work for me and isn't moisturizing, BTW) except it's creamier, more moisturizing and less irritating. I've just started using it, but I think this and the PCA creamy cleanser will be products I will continue to use in the future. PCA products have repaired my skin from damage caused by other brands. I recommend this line to everyone.

I was very excited to try this product as I had read many reviews about this, as well as many PCA products for my Rosacea and sensitive, reactive skin. I understand that there's frequently an adjustment period when using new products. I never try more than one new product at a time so I know what the culprit is if I began to have issues. It made me break out and it never got any better. I've had much better luck with products that cost 1/4 of the price of this product.
