PCA Skin Pigment Gel HQ Free features a hydroquinone-free formula that diminishes age spots and discoloration for a radiant complexion. An exfoliating complex of lactic, kojic and azelaic acids refine and smooth the skin while diminishing hyperpigmentation. Glutathione and tyrosinase inhibit melanin production to prevent new dark spots from forming.
After cleansing and toning, apply a small amount with fingertips, smooth over affected area and allow to penetrate. Follow with the appropriate PCA SKIN sunscreen moisturizer in the daytime and nourishing moisturizer in the evening. May be used day and/or night.

Very effective on dark spots
I have been using this product for over a year. I apply in the morning, followed by a moisturizer, then sunscreen. I spend a lot of time in the sun so any product with hydroquinone isn't good for me. This product, being Hq free, is perfect for my needs. I have definitely noticed my spots are not as pronounced & I'm not getting more spots.

Works but..
I really feel like this diminishes my brown spots more than any other product, but my skin is so sensitive to it that I can only use it about once every 2-3 days, else my skin gets really irritated and red.

Really diminished the appearance of hyperpigmentation on my face.
This product really keeps my fine lines and wrinkles diminished as well as hyperpigmentation. Living in Florida for over 40 years, I have a lot of sun-induced skin damage. The Pigment Gel has greatly reduced the appearance of brown spots -- but it must be used daily. I use it every night under my Collagen Hydrator. Let the pigment gel soak in a few minutes before applying the Collagen Hydrator.

The only reason why I haven't given it a 5 star rating is because I have only been using for 2 weeks. But so far my skin is remarkably more even toned. I love it as an alternative to the HQ based products I was using. I am of Indian background and we tend to have hyperpigmentation. I have been using triluma for a couple of years off and on, and I much prefer texture of this to HQ based products. Also great option if you are prego or trying for a baby!

I haven't noticed a decrease in pigmentation. It may be controlling some pigment formation, but it's difficult to tell. It is summer and I've been out in the sun more than usual. I finished one bottle and am going to try another for good measure. If your skin can tolerate retinols, I would recommend that over this for pigment control and the additional benefit of wrinkle reduction. I'm only trying this now because I'm pregnant and cannot use retinoid creams. This serum did not cause any adverse reaction or sensitivity.

I have tried many lightner's out there and have been very dissapointed. This was my last straw before I went back to hydroquinone. It is the best out there with and without HQ. It is strong stuff but it will definitely work.

I've only been using this product for a week and have already noticed a difference in my hyperpigmentation spots from break-outs. The spots have lightened up! I also like how tight it makes my skin feel - seems to shrink pores. I have sensitive skin, so it stings just a tad when I first put it on... but it isn't unbearable. Looking forward to seeing even more results, given more time.
