PCA Skin BPO 5% Cleanser eliminates acne-causing bacteria without the use of irritating surfactants that can damage and aggravate the skin. Its clarifying formula features a 5% concentration benzoyl peroxide to heal and prevent breakouts. Aloe, cucumber, nettle and chamomile extracts comfort and calm inflammation to leave the complexion looking clear, even and refreshed.
Apply a small amount of cleanser to damp skin with fingertips and massage into a light foaming lather. Wash in a gentle circular motion. Rinse with warm (not hot) water and pat dry. Start with one treatment daily or as directed by a physician.

Highly Recommend for Hormonal Acne
Six months before turning 30 my hormones went haywire. I spent pretty much my whole life with "perfect" skin so I had absolutely no clue how to deal with the painful, deep, red, hormonal and cystic acne that would endlessly pop up on my jawline and lower cheeks. Then COVID hit and having to wear masks exacerbated it all even further and added whiteheads and blackheads to the whole mix. This has taken care of it. I was suspiciously eyeing my skin in the mirror this morning because I find it so weird that one product really made this much of a difference. I tried the other PCA acne cleanser (with the sponge) and liked it enough but while it made the acne heal faster ... I was still getting acne. With the BPO cleanser I'm not really breaking out at all. TIPS ON USAGE: It is definitely drying and I originally used it right before my glycolic exfoliator which is a no-no. I now only use it in the mornings after oil cleansing (which does a great job of unclogging the sweat, oil and pillow residue from the night and letting this sink in) on the affected areas (cheeks/jaw); anywhere else it'll dry out. Plus I didn't realize the instructions say to use it on already cleansed skin so the first week or so I was trying to lather it up like a regular cleanser which isn't recommended. I oil cleanse briefly in the morning, then put this on, let it sit for 2 minutes, lather and rinse. At night I oil cleanse again for longer (something about having hormonal acne means I'm producing so much sebum/oil that oil cleansing twice is almost necessary ... I'm getting a gross amount of gunk & plugs out each time) followed by a glycolic acid exfoliator. My acne has decreased by 99%.

Irritated my skin
So it may be my fault since earlier on when I was newer to skin care, I thought redness/bumps = acne and in reality my skin is more rosacea with some oil/clogged pores. I used this consistently for a month and my "acne" kept getting worse, but I think it was just really aggravating my rosacea. Gave it to my husband who doesn't really have sensitive skin and he didn't like it either. And its annoying that you can either only use it in the shower or with white hand towels since it will stain. But probably a better option for less sensitive skin types

Gentle BPO Cleanser
I have sensitive, acne-prone skin and I've never found a benzoyl peroxide cleanser that I could tolerate until this product. I use this in the morning, 1x a day, and have had no problems with sensitivity or dryness. I do think this product has played a part in helping to keep my skin clear. It's a bit pricy for a cleanser, but you don't need a great deal of product, so the bottle lasts quite a while. This is definitely on my reorder list!
