PCA Skin BPO 5% Cleanser eliminates acne-causing bacteria without the use of irritating surfactants that can damage and aggravate the skin. Its clarifying formula features a 5% concentration benzoyl peroxide to heal and prevent breakouts. Aloe, cucumber, nettle and chamomile extracts comfort and calm inflammation to leave the complexion looking clear, even and refreshed.
Apply a small amount of cleanser to damp skin with fingertips and massage into a light foaming lather. Wash in a gentle circular motion. Rinse with warm (not hot) water and pat dry. Start with one treatment daily or as directed by a physician.

Can’t live without!
For my mildly acneic skin, this is a can’t live without product. I have gone without it before, and I experienced breakouts. I use this as my second cleanse at night, right after my IS Cleansing Complex. It smells nice, feels gentle, and helps to get rid of the acne bacteria that causes breakouts. I absolutely love this product!

Too strong - caused cystic acne
Unfortunately this did not work for me. I tried this for a few weeks to see if my skin could tolerate the cleanser. Even after painful purging and cystic acne, it did not get better and I had to send the product back. Dermstore was very understanding. If you have sensitive skin and/or normally get cystic acne, I would proceed with caution and either do a patch test for several days or be prepared that your skin might purge.

PCA Skin BPO 5 Percent Cleanser
I use this cleanser every morning and night, which helps keep my acne to a minimum. It does not cause any redness, but I do have to use a moisturizer after since it is slightly drying for my skin type. The bottle lasts me about 4 months.

Works well, confusing directions
I use this in the morning and moisturize after. Otherwise my skin would feel a bit dry. While it seems to cleanse and is labeled a cleanser, the directions on bottle say to use on cleansed skin which confuses me.

I really wanted to like this cleanser; however, it is very strong. I have a combination of acne-prone skin along the jawline. This cleanser was a bit too drying for me even without using it daily.
