PCA Skin BPO 5% Cleanser eliminates acne-causing bacteria without the use of irritating surfactants that can damage and aggravate the skin. Its clarifying formula features a 5% concentration benzoyl peroxide to heal and prevent breakouts. Aloe, cucumber, nettle and chamomile extracts comfort and calm inflammation to leave the complexion looking clear, even and refreshed.
Apply a small amount of cleanser to damp skin with fingertips and massage into a light foaming lather. Wash in a gentle circular motion. Rinse with warm (not hot) water and pat dry. Start with one treatment daily or as directed by a physician.

Amazing Results
For reference: I have extremely sensitive, acne-prone, and oily skin. I recently went off hormonal birth control and was terrified of my acne coming back with a vengeance. I've always had to work really hard at my skin and have never had a naturally clear complexion. I did go to the dermatologist before getting off BC and she gave me the following regimen: Morning: wash with BPO facewash, follow with clindamycin solution, follow with Cerva ve PM lotion. Evening: wash with BPO facewash, follow with tretinoin, cerva ve PM lotion, and then spot treat with BPO (I use the PCA Skin BPO acne spot treatment). At first she recommended Panoxyl for facewash but after looking at the ingredients and the fact that it was 10% BPO I didn't love it and wanted to find a better solution knowing my skin was sensitive and reactive. When I initially purchased this facewash it really irritated my skin and I returned it. But hindsight I blame that on the fact that I didn't know how to use benzoyl peroxide. You have to ease into it. Start with once every other day and then ease into the twice a day. When you're not using this wash use a gentle wash like Cerva ve for oily skin. I have been using this facewash since July and it's absolutely saved my skin from having terrible acne. My skin isn't perfect, but it is mostly clear during the month except for at "that time"... and even then it's totally manageable. I 110% recommend this facewash and love using it to keep my skin clear!

Great for acne-prone skin

Worth giving a try!
I had originally tried this in the PCA kit and fell in love with it. I tend to have some hormonal and adult acne break outs. I also have a slight reaction when I use sal acid so I was excited to see if benzoyl peroxide would work better for my skin and it does! I had tried numerous drug store face washes and nothing was really helping me with my concerns. I decided to take a chance and purchase the full size after I was done with the travel size in the kit. It really did help keeping any breakouts at bay and prevented any break outs. It never left my skin tight or dry. My face suffered when I forgot to pack it for a trip. However, my skin is now in recovery with the help of this product! Like others I was a little confused when it instructs you to already have our face cleansed before use. It does also have a slight medicated sent. but it does not linger.

Not a Miracle Product
Other than the recurring 3-4 bumps on my cheeks/ jawline, my skin is alright, but my useless-waste-of-$$ dermatologists insisted that I get a BPO cleanser right away! So I did my research and chose this cleanser because the ingredients weren't as scary as those cheaper brands'. I washed my face every night in the shower, and left it on for 1-2 minutes or so. I made sure to rinse with cold water to prevent drying my sensitive skin. Right away, I noticed my skin felt squeaky clean, almost glossy and smooth in non-problematic areas. That's it! Hormonal Acne and its cruel bff Redness didn't go away. Not that I expected a miracle, but those greedy MDs were convinced that BPO was the answer. A bottle lasted nearly 4 months and although it's expensive, I will continue to use this, for now, since it didn't irritate my skin. Sad that I have to settle for "at least it didn't worsen my acne". Oh, and yes, this leaves bleach spots on towels. Must use only white towels. No biggie. High hopes, meh results.

Great product but drying
Cleanser is silky smooth and smells great. Also keeps my acne at bay. My only comment is that it's pretty drying so I only use it a few times a week in con junction with a mild cleanser.
