Paula's Choice SKIN PERFECTING 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant boosts the skin's tone and texture to enhance a natural glow. Salicylic acid exfoliates and promotes faster cell regeneration to minimize the appearance of blemishes, redness, large pores and wrinkles. Green tea soothes inflammation and shields against free-radical damage.

Dispense approximately a dime-sized amount onto a cotton ball or pad and stroke over clean skin, including around the eyes (do not apply to eyelids or along the lower lash line). Gentle yet effective

Doesn’t irritate
This product is easy to apply. Is liquid form that settles in a few minutes and allows to layer products. I have sensitive skin and did not irritate my skin, however, I only applied once a day in evening a few times a week in the beginning, it did not make my skin dry or red. I feel that it gently exfoliates without having to rub a product on skin that can further damage skin. I suffer from acne and did not cause further irritation to active acne. I recommend trying if looking for a way to exfoliate without using harsh products that scrape skin. I felt like this along with my normal routine has given me clearer skin

Mixed feelings
I’ve been given this product several times over the past couple years and I’m not sure how I feel about it. I have oily, but not sensitive, skin and although it worked fairly well on blemishes, it became extremely drying very quickly. I recommend taking this product less frequently than the instructions say and following with a hydrating serum and moisturizer.

Absolute classic that never fails to deliver
I’ve been using this product for, oh my gosh, over 20 years now. It’s total gold standard for unwanted texture and blackheads. Classic, effective liquid exfoliant with green tea for light added antioxidant protection. The company has obviously changed quite a bit, being sold and all, new products in different packaging seem to be constantly m churned our, but this formula has remained simple and effective throughout the years. I can use this on my face and body and always know what to expect. It can definitely be a little drying at first, but you can totally buffer it and build up a tolerance to it. Just don’t overdo it at first! I find that when I have over applied in the past, I see the dryness the next day, so again-ease into it at first. You can always add more applications later, but you can’t really take them away once you’ve done them. After awhile, I was able to use this twice a day. I suggest initially starting out one to three times a week, then taking it from there. See how your skin reacts, and adjust accordingly. Don’t be afraid to take a super gentle toner, shake a few drops onto your cotton rounds, then put the 2% BHA on the pad as well. Now that I’m using Retin-A, I only use this once a week on my face, but I still use it on my body and always keep some in my house. There are always deals on this, and you get a lot of product for the price. You can put it in the palm of your hand and apply with your fingers, you can use a cotton round. I’d you want to use cottons, but don’t like feeling you’re wasting product, I suggest getting good quality rounds (I use Delon) and gently separating the layers for application. Thinner pad=less product soaked up. You don’t need a big, thick cotton pad to apply this. Separating rounds really reduces waste with this brilliant liquid BHA. This works really well for young skin (I’ve given it to a lot of family members, it’s great for teens so long as they are coached on potential irritation and offered non-comedogenic moisturizer as well) and is great for my aging, acne prone skin. Love it!
