Used this for years
This is an effective, gentle exfoliant. I didn't get any burns or irritation. If this is your first time using it (and haven't used retinol or any other exfoliant), definitely be careful not to use it around the eyes and mouth. I did that and I felt my skin was too tight when I blinked or talked. They warn against that on the bottle so it was my own negligence. My skin breaks out if I layer more than 2 products. With this, as 1 of 3 products, I have no breakouts. I include a toner and sunscreen in my daily routine.

This product is excellent. I just made my second purchase. I believe it kept my skin clear and free of breakouts, evened my skin tone, and most certainly brightened my skin. A little goes a long way. I give about 3 shakes in my palms and then press into my skin as part of my morning routine. After purchasing my first bottle until recently I've seen this product recommended on countless sites (as a worthwhile, working toner). I first learned about this product by receiving a sample from Dermstore and I've been hooked ever since. This product agrees with my oily, mature skin so well that I can't deny its benefits.

Improved skin tone/texture
I use this exfoliant after washing/drying my face in the morning. I apply maybe 5 drops to a cotton ball and swab my face and neck. Some of the fluid remains on my skin and I pat that into my skin, wait maybe one minute and then apply my YTTP vitamin c serum, FAB moisturizer, and follow with my foundation. It layers perfectly. I don't break out and do not have any stinging or sensitivity (I'm oily/acne prone/rosacea). I do notice a more even skin tone and glow with regular use, so I will continue to purchase. However I have not seen any reduction in black heads or pore size.

When I first got this product I used to use it daily but after having it for about a year I now use it twice a week because it can really dry out my skin. It has definitely helped control my acne and my oil production. I highly recommend this item.

Not for me
I finally have come up with a skin care regimen and haven't had acne problems for a record amount of time! I've been looking at this brand for awhile and decided to try this exfoliant. I only applied once a day at lunchtime and it was less than a week and my chin was breaking out. And I noticed it didn't help keep my oiliness at bay. I stopped using it and my breakout cleared up. In all honesty my skin is so acne prone that it has taken me a very long time to find a good skin care regimen. I'm always looking for another product that works better, but this was not it for me.
