Very Effective product

Paula's Niacinamide 20 does seem to work. My pores are smaller with less oiliness in the T-zone.

One of my favorites!

Obsessed with this serum, I feel like since I've started using it my skin is so smooth and I get no discoloration in a after a breakout. A little sticky but putting moisturizer on after makes the tackiness go away

Disappointed

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

I really wanted to like this product because my skin loves niacinamide. After using it for a month, I'm afraid it's a pass for me. It's thick, sticky, and clogged my pores. My skin just didn't reap any positive benefits from it.

Doesn't irritate rosacea

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

Having acne prone mild to moderate rosacea, I find this does not exacerbate any symptoms/flare-up. It does take a while to dry into the skin which I find annoying. I'm not sure I find a noticeable difference in pore/discoloration but will finish the bottle and reassess.

Noticeable difference

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

It has great texture and no scent. I noticed fading of some acne scars. Since Niacinamide is gentle and pairs well with most acids, I'd use this on days where I spot treat pimples or use retinol.

Visible improvement

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I've just recently started incorporating more Paula's Choice into my skin care routine, and I'm quite happy with the results. Despite my best efforts I struggle with hormonal cystic acne and am predisposed to oily, congested skin and large pores. The niacinamide has been working well to keep my skin clear and there's a noticeable improvement in texture. Paula's Choice has a great reputation for effective but affordable skincare, and I'm happy to have finally started using more of this brand. So far, so good.

so far so good

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

This product is very lightweight, doesn't break me out, and seems to have already helped to smooth the texture of my skin. Only been using for 2 weeks so far. Am looking forward to continued success.

It's OK - I'd like more for the price.

I started using niacinamide serums about 6 weeks ago, starting with The Ordinary 10% niacinamide + 1% zinc. I switched to the Paula's Choice 20% when I concluded that despite the great results from TO, the zinc content makes me nauseous. While others consider the PC formula more "elegant", though it applies well, I find it a bit thicker and tacky when it dries, feeling like it's not fully absorbing. And then the oddest thing, last night, after application, my skin felt like I had a mattifying, non-slip layer over it. I may just need to play with the dropper amount, or switch back to a 10% version when this bottle is done. Speaking of bottle, I do love this type of dropper bottle. I imagine the slight seal around the bottle neck helps limit the amount of air introduced every time you reinsert the dropper. And perhaps that what I'm really paying for because 0.67 ounces is nothing? I would not purchase this without a sale or discount code.

Love this stuff!

This has been a miracle for me! I'm pushing sixty and still break out. Need moisture but everything I've ever tried makes me break out. I wash with a salicylic acid face wash then apply this at night. Haven't gotten a new blemish since I started using this!!! In the a.m. I wash again then use a Paula's Choice toner and an moisturizer. Perfect combo for me. Thought I was doomed to break out forever. Fingers crossed! And my pores are way tighter.

Game changer

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

Definitely have noticed a HUGE difference already in my skin since using this morning and night for just about 2 weeks so far. The texture of my skin and the way my pores look, my overall skin complexion has never looked so good. A little on the sticky side of a formula but if you pat it in and just let it sit for a minute and finish with a moisturizer it will feel way better. 10/10 get niacinamide in your skin care routine
