Love This!

I have used both this and the 5% and both are great. I use daily as preventative, no irritation and goes on completely invisible!

Love this product!

For me I can use it twice a day and it doesn't over dry my sensitive skin. Best part it really has improved my acne. I might get one or two small spots right before my period but they heal very fast:) only negative it's a little watery I wish they would put it in a pump.

Great overnight spot treatment

This stuff is awesome as an overnight treatment. Just need to be mindful of the pillow staining because of the BP.

Best BPO Around

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

When I first started experiencing severe hormonal acne, I did what any 20 year old would do - I went to the drugstore, found a line targeted at "fighting acne," bought every product, and used them all until my face burned, my acne became more painful and severe, and every tshirt/towel/pillowcase I owned was covered in bleach stains. Fast forward four years. I had all but sworn off of benzoyl peroxide as an ingredient... until @fairyglowmother on twitter inspired me to give the dreaded ingredient a second chance. Having found that Paula's Choice had never done me wrong, I decided to give this product a shot and HOLY COW. I AM IN LOVE. The reduction in my acne - whiteheads, cysts, congestion - is apparent and, dare I say, almost immediate. I would recommend not only this product, but the cleanser and BHA 2% to anyone struggling with acne. I had almost given up on acne lines, but I am so so glad I gave it one more go. One small tip, store the product upside-down or too much product will come out when you unscrew the lid. You need a SMALL amount.

Solid Acne Spot Treatment

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I use this as a spot treatment only. I haven't found that benzoyl peroxide is a good single product to get rid of acne. For me, I need to use it in conjunction with other products. You also need to be careful because this one is 5% benzoyl peroxide; so, it's a little stronger. With benzoyl peroxide, if you go stronger and then go to a lesser percentage, you're likely going to break out a lot. The skin builds up a tolerance to it. This tube has a lot in it, and I think it goes a long way for the price. Highly recommend. With hormonal and really any acne, you might need this in conjunction with other products.

Effective and Simple

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I used to use MD Complete's benzoyl peroxide cream, which was 4.5%. While it was effective, it was heavily scented and sometimes caused little red bumps to appear around areas I applied. I purchased PC extra strength and it is not only hydrating and soothing but it works within days to bring pimples to a head. Sometimes I feel deep pimples growing on my nose or chin and within a 1-2 days its gone before it grows. As with all benzoyl peroxide products, it can bleach fabrics and I fell victim to bleaching new pillow cases. So I wear it during the day under sunscreen instead of at night, just make sure to wash your hands once you've applied it to the skin to avoid any transfer to clothing. The only negative I would comment on is the packaging. In appearance, it's stylish and simple, but, if you place it top down (as it's meant to be) when you open the cap product oozes out resulting in waste. I've learned to store it facing up in between my other products to avoid this issue. Formulation = 5 stars. Packaging = 3 stars. Overall = 4 stars

This is a great product. Helped my skin and my tween daughters skin. It took my skin about two weeks to clear up. Don't give up.

So effective!! It works

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

I deal with acne and this berinzol peroxide gel works out so great for my skin care rutine. I love it because the consistency is runny and not as thick as others. I do wish that the product were in a pump instead for better application and control over the amount desired.
