Great Mineral SPF Moisturizer
I was so impressed by this SPF. For an all mineral SPF, the Paula's Choice Calm Redness Relief SPF 30 - Normal/Oily moisturizer was very sheer on application and left a minimal white-cast that disappeared during dry down. As someone with fair skin and stubble, I was pleased that it didn't leave me looking ghostly or with residue in my beard. I thought the formula was really pleasant - lightweight but moisturizing with a matte finish and seemed to keep the oiliness of my skin in check throughout the day. I appreciate that the formula is gentle and fragrance-free and love the extra antioxidants and skin-loving ingredients. The formula isn't water-resistant, so I would categorize this as a wonderful daily moisturizer for days you don't plan on breaking a sweat. While my initial reaction to the price of this SPF moisturizer was that it was a bit on the pricey side, the cosmetic elegance of the formula and its ranking as the best, most sheer, all mineral SPF moisturizer that I've used/tried justified the price upon first use. I recommend this very highly and think Paula's Choice did a wonderful job with the formulation of this product.

Good but not for me
I really liked the feeling of this sunscreen and the fact that it didn't pill under makeup but sadly it broke me out :( I have very sensitive skin. I gave it to my mom to try and she is loving it so I'd say go for it if you don't have super sensitive skin!

This sunscreen is a great choice for everyone! The texture isn't a thin milk but not a hard to rub in cream either; it glides on easily so you can get an even coverage. It dries down to a luminous natural finish and leaves skin silky soft and glowy. I haven't noticed pilling when I put makeup on top. The white cast is very very minimal for a mineral sunscreen. For oily skin, this would probably be moisturizing enough to use alone. I have normal/combo skin and live in the desert so I usually apply a little moisturizer underneath.
