I got this booster mainly for myself because I have bumpy skin texture, but I also let my mother use it because she suffers from horrible rosacea on her cheeks. Usually, her cheeks are bright red and have red bumps all over, and even some pus-filled bumps. Just after a couple of days of using this product ( I would say about four days or five days) I have noticed that the bumps are gone and the redness has toned down to a light pink shade. She is very pleased with the results because her rosacea made her insecure and nothing would work. As for me, I have not noticed a huge difference in my skin texture, but I am hoping to see some real results in the next couple of weeks.

I love Paula's Choice and I thoroughly enjoyed this serum... which is why downgrading this review from a 5 star to a 3 hurts. However, after less than 2 months of consistent but rational use, I have nearly run out of this serum. I use a few drops - less than a full dropper - of this serum twice a day. If this were a less expensive serum, that would be annoying but something I would be able to look past... but at $44 for less than an ounce I have a hard time justifying it. I should note that I did see results - my skin tone evened out and my skin was more balanced over. That being said, I am not sure those results are worth $264 a year and placing an order for this serum every other month. So far, I am really liking this product. I have only been using it for about a week, but I wanted to hop on here to give my first impressions (I will update after a few months of use!) I will start with the positives. First, the packaging is beautiful. I believe it is glass, which is a major bonus. It is sturdy, and the applicator sits tightly in a stopper that keeps excess product in the packaging rather than all over your counter. Second, it is incredibly lightweight. If your skin becomes irritated by heavy or sticky products, this is a great product to try. Finally, though it is not advertised as a Vit C, a form of Vit C for sensitive skin is one of the top 5 ingredients, meaning you will undoubtedly see some brightening effects. Now on to the negatives. First, your skin *might* have a bit of an adjustment period with this product. After not using Vit C for awhile, my skin had a bit of a "wait, what is this" moment. I got a littttttle irritated for a day or two. My skin is sensitive/reactive, so I expected as much. The second negative is the consistency. While the lightweight consistency is a benefit, it does make it a little difficult to use. I would recommend mixing it with a moisturizer at first to minimize any adjustment/irritation in addition to get the most out of the product. I have also used it alone, dropped into the palm of my hand and patted immediately on my face and it seems to work just fine... but if you have very absorbent hands it might not be the best technique. Overall, a great serum! Cannot wait to see long term results.

Broke me out
Niacinamide is a great ingredient, but I found that this product did not work out for me. After using it for two days, I developed small itchy bumps along my jaw. When I stopped using it, the bumps were gone after a few days. I'm not sure if this product is just not for my skin, but I was very disappointed.

My favorite Niaciniamide
I have been using this for three bottles now I won't use anything else. I've tried TO's and Maeloves's and they are so tacky and they pill. This one is elegant. It gets the job done. I use it in the morning with a good gel moisturizer and it does it's job with no pilling or anything other adverse effects.

Icing on the cake
Quick,effective results. Exceeded my expectations in product claims. Used along with Paula's 2% BHA exfoliating and tretinoin, I have put the icing on my skin care regimen. I have purchased a cheaper niacinimide formula and plan on doing a side by side comparison. Price is not out of my reach, however if I can save the money and get the same results I will not repurchase.
