Not super strong
It think it really depends on how much acid and exfoliating treatments you are used to using... for me, this product is pretty weak because my skincare is already maxed out in the exfoliation department. However, I am using it as a moisturizer, and as a bikini line ingrown hair preventative. If your pores have not been treated with acids recently, you will probably have a little purge, but if you already use acidic washes, toners, creams etc, there isn't going to be a wow moment when you look in the mirror.

Wanted to Love - Did Not See Much Difference
After using this product, I did not see much of a difference in my blemish-prone, oily skin. Even used in combination with the Paula's Choice 2% BHA product, the irritation in my skin was not noticeably lessened. For me, the brightening effect was minimal. The product texture was somewhat drying on my skin, and even led to minor itching. Perhaps someone who does not already use a BHA or salicylic acid in their routine may notice a more obvious change in skin health.

My skin started breaking out bad for reasons unknown. Benzoyl peroxide, aha, and tretinoin were not working for me. Azelaic acid is the only one that worked! I chose this product because of the addition of the salicylic acid in it. Its helped my skin with softness and texture. This is the only treatment that did not lead to my skin becoming dry and flaky. I have used it every night for two weeks and seeing great results! I am still experiencing purging but I know thats only temporary. Even while purging, Ive seen a significant reduction in my acne. Its helped my complexion enormously. I will note, I do not have cystic acne - only normal acne. Absolutely recommend trying this if your skin is super sensitive like mine. The texture is a smooth sort of lotion that dries down quickly. Ive read that Azelaic acid can make your face itchy after applying. I have not experienced that with this product

I was hesitant to buy this bc of the small size, but I'm so glad I did. this has done amazing things for my face, it's honestly never looked better.
