Great for acne!
I have the occasional breakout and I have a very simple routine because I have reactive skin. If my skin doesn't like something it shows. So, with that I have a hard time using products that help with breakouts. Benzoyl peroxide is too harsh for me and I like using products with salicylic acid, but I can't use it as my only means to clear my breakouts. I do use tretinoin (and have been for 2 years) at night with a small percentage of azelaic acid in it. I was watching a few dermatologist talk about azelaic acid and how it can help with acne breakouts, as well as help fight hyperpigmentation. Some of the dermatologist recommended this product. I went with this one because I have used Paula's Choice and have liked their stuff. I've only been using it for a week and a half, and I see a difference right away! The way I use this is after I cleanse I use a serum and then mix this with a light weight moisturizer. I would say only add a little bit of this with your moisturizer because it can sting throughout the day. But once i got the right amount down I noticed my skin getting clearer and brighter everyday. I will definitely be monitoring my progress with this, but I love it.

Great ingredient, great formula
This didn't do anything absolutely revolutionary for my skin, however it can help lighten some dark spots and help acne with continued use.

Efficient
Seems to be doing a good job of keeping blemishes away without irritating my skin.

Good reviews but...
I believe it is a good product. Reviews are out the door with 5 stars. But just use caution, not everyone's skin is the same. Start slow too. I had an reaction initially but ... after researching....the right way to do this and giving my skin a break in between I have experienced less irritation but a few weeks into Ive not seen a difference yet. Will continue for another few weeks and decide.

Already seeing a difference after 1 month
This is my first time trying any kind of Azelaic Acid. I use this every other night in rotation with my retinol and my skin always looks improved when I wake up. My pores are less noticeable and skin tone looks more even. I mix it with a gel serum before my moisturizer. I love the texture. I'm going to find out how to work this into my everyday routine. Also, no acne or rosacea flare-ups or irritation using it! My only complaint is there are no instructions on the bottle on what amount to use. Still need to find that out. Highly recommend!

Irritated Skin
I bought this product 2x, really gave it a chance last year. I was made to believe that azelaic acid was good for rosacea however, i would say azelaic acid is not good for me. This product was awful for me. After i quit using it (about a year) my skin just looked worse. Had laser resurfacing and now not the same problems. It especially irritated my skin when running while also using another PC product. I do like other products by brand, not this one and the other.

Not for me
This seems like a great product. Feels nice, didn't cause any adverse reactions, but ultimately I don't think it's the right solution for me. I tried it as it was originally in my Curology formula (which I canceled). I have mild acne & moderate seborrheic dermatitis.

Best product ever!
Azelaic acid is such an amazing ingredient for many skin problems: acne, pigmentation, texture, and sensitivity. Unfortunately it is not very well-known, so I've only ever tried two azelaic acid products. This product is unique. I don't think there is anything else like it on the market (that I've heard of, at least). It has a gel-cream consistency that spreads well. Like all PC products, this has no fragrance, which is what I prefer. It can be used on its own (between serums and moisturizer) or you can mix it with one of your other steps. Just remember that when you mix products, there can be pilling if the formulations are not compatible. It might take a bit of experimentation to see what application method works best for you. I typically apply it either as its own layer before moisturizer, or mixed into my moisturizer. Sometimes I also use it mixed with adapelene instead of benzoyl peroxide as my nighttime treatment for acne. It visibly improves my acne, dark spots, and texture, and it is so gentle and versatile. It never stings or irritates my skin. The small amount of salicylic acid is a bonus since I do struggle with acne and clogged pores. I recommend this product to anyone with acne or pigmentation issues. It's one of the only products I love enough to buy over and over again instead of trying something else. By the way, you should be able to use this with AHAs and/or BHAs, as this is neither and doesn't work the same way.

Don't Be Fooled: This is NOT for ALL Types of Rosacea
This product has been recommended to me dozens of times for my rosacea. As I'm already a PC fan, I finally decided to take the plunge and buy the $10 travel-size bottle. I was super excited and went about my routine with my normal cleanser and toner and proceeded to spread this onto my red, rosacea-prone cheeks and forehead. NEVER have I had such a horrible flare-up! My face was fiery-red and hot to the touch. Even though I rinsed it off, my face stayed beet red for 2 days, calming after that. I decided to look into it further, as I should have done to begin with. I found that this works for papulopustular (acneic) rosacea but NOT for erythematotelangiectatic rosacea. Disappointed, but glad that I didn't buy the full size! So as not to waste it, I have been using it as a spot-treatment for hormonal acne under my chin with average results.

Multipurpose Product!
This really works well as a spot treatment and for hyperpigmentation. However, it is a bit expensive but would still recommend!
