So far so good
I use hydroquinone for my hyperpigmentation in conjunction with retin a for one or two months then when I take time off of hydroquinone I use the azaleic acid in place with retin a. So far so good I am seeing continued results. This is my first time using this product. Has no fragrance. I am keeping it in my rotation.

Great addition
I purchased this product to help with my hyperpigmentation. So far I am seeing a minimal change in the brown spots on my face, hopefully it will continue to work. This product is not irritating, in fact I layer it over my prescription tret. The only reason I knocked off one star is that it tends to pill if you use an oil moisturizer.

I am using this as alternative to retinol while I'm pregnant and so far so good! I have very sensitive skin and worry when switching to a new product, but I haven't experienced any irritation. I haven't been using it long enough to experience any super noticeable results, but my skin is still looking smooth and even similar to when I was using retinol.

Steady but noticeable
I apply this nightly after serums and before moisturizer (unless I've used a strong acid that night, then I skip this product) and I have noticed a subtle but steady change in my overall skin. I have combination/oily skin and so I get a lot of acne on my cheeks and forehead, but I've noticed it has overall calmed down and my scarring is lightening slowly. This isn't a get-dramatic-results-overnight product, but with steady use, it will help dark marks and acne. It does have a little bit of a weird smell to it and I wish it came in a larger size for the price, but I would repurchase again.

Controls redness
I'm on my third tube of this. I had not used azaelic acid before, but I have rosacea and this works great to sooth redness. It leaves my face looking smooth and clear (the salicylic acid, I'm guessing) and seems to have faded a couple of dark spots. It does sting for several minutes after applying, unlike any AHA/BHA exfoliant ever has, and that was concerning at first but it never causes any lasting irritation or redness, and it always leaves my face looking terrific the next morning.

Helping with my breakouts!
I've been using this azelaic acid in combination with the Paula's Choice 2% BHA at night for about two months now. I noticed that when I was using the BHA alone, I still had breakouts on my cheeks (though it may have been partly due to maskne) but they recovered faster. After adding the azelaic acid into my routine, I have had less breakouts on my cheeks and around my mouth. My hormonal chin acne still comes around but the angry red bumps are smaller and subside faster. Will be repurchasing!
