Pretty good, not my favorite
I have very long, 3B thick curly hair. I didn't find this product to be particularly hydrating OR softening as a matter of fact it seemed to dry out my hair after I used it. It would probably be better for Type 2 curls.

Great hold on hair
This product smells nice,. It works as stated and holds my hair. I also bought the curl shampoo however these products don't enhance my curls, but it does lessen the frizz by a handful and leaves my hair soft. This product I would say is more of a gell that holds however i need something to enhance my curls.

This is awesome
I'm mixed with a few different curl patterns and really thick hair, so things can get a bit wild, which I like. I'm pretty protective of my hair almost no heat and no color or other treatments, and tend to wear it up or in a braid most days. This curl gloss combined with oribe curl butter and leave in conditioner and I have commercial level spirals with great volume and a really nice feel - not greasy or dry or stiff at all. I'm now totally loyal to this brand.

Keeps my Type 3a/b curls soft and frizz-free
I had low expectations for this product since lightweight gels usually do not provide good definition for my hair. However, this product dramatically exceeded my expectations. Despite its low-to-nonexistent crunch factor, it gives me beautiful ringlets with minimal fuzz, even when I air dry my hair outside while walking! For curlier hair or very high humidity environments, I doubt this product would provide all-day hold, but for type 2/3 hair in temperate environments, it's a dream.
