Olaplex No.4P Blonde Shampoo
I'm not sure if I received a defective product or the purple shampoo is supposed to be so thin and runny. Other Olaplex products have a thicker consistency. I poured a bunch in my hand (thank you for the tip of using gloves!) and tried to lather away. I have long hair so I felt I needed more shampoo. I followed up with Olaplex mask. I would not recommend the purple Shampoo from Olaplex.

The shampoo definitely does a great job at getting rid off brassiness but I do find it drying. I’ve been adding the L’Oreal Blondifier mask to counteract the drying effects of the shampoo.

I've been using other Olaplex products for years and was excited when this came out, but wasn't wowed. It's pretty thin compared to the other products, so I end up using it with my regular shampoo. I haven't really noticed anything better compared to other, thicker mask-like purple products (non Olaplex), so won't be buying again.

Bought solely for toning purposes
I use Olaplex 3 and Olaplex 0 regularly. I had previously used Olaplex shampoo and conditioner, and while I really liked it I cut it out of my routine because I didn't think the cost was worth the benefit for me. However, I am growing out highlights and it has been over a year since I had my hair colored. The growing out highlights have a brassy color as usually happens with blonde highlights. I used multiple purple shampoos and didn't seem much effect. I decided to give this one a try. I wet my hair in the sink, shampoo and put it up in a clip and let sit 10-15 minutes. I do this once a week and it helps a lot to take out the brassiness and leaves the old highlights much cooler toned so they blend well with the rest of my hair. I use a sulfate free shampoo on my other daily washes, and the brassiness seems to be held back all week. The purple shampoo is worth the cost to me, since I haven't found any other brand of purple shampoo that seems to be effective. Also, I like that this brand of purple shampoo doesn't leave the hair dry or damaged feeling.
