Gentle but effective
If you are looking for something that is effective but won't dry you out, here it is. I think you need to use it several nights a week to see a real effect but that's the case with any retinol product. I really like this one. I don't necessarily know if I will repurchase it but that's only because I am constantly trying new products.

Great but use with hydration getl
I love this product for a strong retinol, HOWEVER.... be sure to use a product like Skinceuticals B5 gel to make sure your skin is getting the properly moisturized. You will dry out and be raw if you don't keep up a good moisturizing regiment that is beyond a night and day cream. My biggest issue is the packaging. You have so squeeze the product out so hard that it burst out on the bottom. I have it in a baggy and now just have it coming out of the seams at the bottom. Grr.

love the product, hate the packaging
I am about ready to give up on Obagi . I have used their products for many years, but the packaging is such a hard plastic that it takes a professional wrestler to get it out. Plus, unless I cut the container with a very sharp knife (not exactly safe, as it slips while cutting) their is usually about a two week supply of any of their products left inside-and, at their prices, don't like to throw away that much. Their eye cream is in a jar, so will continue to use that, but unless they change their packaging, doubt I will be re-ordering any of their other products again.

Finally Something That Works
Have used Obagi before and was happy to find their retinol product. I prefer to purchase cruelty-free and Obagi is-and all their products do just as they claim. Have been using this retinol 1.0 lotion for about 2-3 months and have seen a dramatic change in my skin. More even coloring and fine lines are diminishing over time. I'd say to avoid under eyes or dilute this retinol with another lotion-it's potent. And, use your sunscreen during the day!

No ill effects, but no visible effect at all
I have been using this once per night since June 2017 (it is now December 2017), and I have not seen any visible difference in my skin. I am 50 with good skin, don't really have many wrinkles anyway, just some fine lines around my eyes, but I guess I expected somehow plumper skin or something (all the talk about Retinol! Retinol! Retinol!) and I have really seen no change. Definitely a gentle product, I had no irritation or other problems, it just doesn't seem to actually do anything, unless it's something secret and invisible (like I would look even older if I hadn't used it???). I still have a good bit of the tube left and will use it up since I paid for it. Definitely goes a long way, especially if you apply it to moist skin. No detectable scent or odor.

Love Obagi, I think they make quality products, but the packaging on this one disappointed me. When trying to get product from where it was supposed to come, it suddenly sprang a leak from the bottom, wasting product & making a big mess. Not happy. Probably wouldn't buy again.

I've only used this for three days, and already happy with it. I've never used this brand before, but I will absolutely look into other products! I was using a retinol before this from another brand, and didn't see a difference in my skin at all. In three days, my skin has started to flake & removed dead skin cells. I have only used for 10 days, and only maybe 6 times. So far I love it!!!
