I heard this product is very gentle and does cause irritation so I bought the 1%. Prior to this I have never tried a retinol. The first night I put it on, my skin was calm and not peeling at all so I decided to put it on the next two days (bad call). That week my skin was irritated and peeling like crazy: I decided to use it every once a week and slowly use more frequently. Horrible packaging
I used to use Obagi when it was in a different container and loved it. While the product is very good, the packaging is horrible. The pinhole through which the product is dispensed clogs easily. Today when I was trying to get it unplugged, the seal on the bottom of the tube broke and I had a very expensive product all over the counter top, my clothes and the floor. What a waste. I won't be repurchasing as there are comparable products in better packages.
