Years of use
On a doctor's recommendation, I've applied a mixture of 0.5 Retinol and the Obagi Nu-Derm Blend at night for years. In spite of great results (e.g., healthier looking skin, improvement of spots and fine lines) with the 0.5, I increased the Retinol to 1.0 about six months ago. I had to ease into the use of the 1.0 but once that transition was done, my skin continued to show improvement.

Lame container, spews out bottom, a total waste
I'm so bummed. Surely this is happening with others. At the 3rd use, squeezing the tube, the product shot out/busted through the bottom. Dermstore sent me a 2nd tube, thankfully, and the same thing happened AGAIN!!! Now, i'm not 'that' strong. It's hard to squeeze out so you have to give it some juice but come on! What a let down. I'm told by a dermatologist it loses it's efficacy after it hits air like this and even though i tried putting it in a different jar, it soon turned yellow so i'm sure it's not as effective... Oh well, lesson learned, i'll try another brand. ; / I didn't call Dermstore back, just assume they'd wouldn't send a 3rd tube and why would i even try again? Waste.

Helps with Fine Lines
My esthetician recommended this and the fine lines around my eyes are barely visible and it softened a severe frown line between my eyes. It's not an "overnight cure". I noticed small changes each week and after about a month the results were really noticeable. A half a pump every evening does the truck. With this amount, the product lasts about 6 weeks.

Bad Packaging, good product
After 2-3 uses, I had trouble getting more product our of the incredibly TINY hole at the top of the tube. I squeezed a little harder and the back end of the tube exploded, splashing most of the contents over the marble countertop, the cabinet, the carpet..... - pretty much everywhere. Not good. I've used and liked Obagi products for many years but this packaging is a disaster.

I purchased this when there was a back order of the Skinceuticals retinol 1.0 cream, which I had been previously using. The Obagi retinol 1.0 is gentler on the skin, has a nice creamy texture, and also produces smoother skin as you expect from a retinol cream. It has no obvious scent, and an easy to use pump with cap that snaps on. It stays upright in my medicine cabinet so takes up minimal room.
