I wanted to up my Retinol strength and accidentally overdid it by slathering it on the first week. That can make your skin ultra sensitive so I will be buffering the product with heavy moisturizer from now on. Despite using too much at first, my skin now looks smooth and it's helped fade some hyperpigmentation. Retinol is so important to incorporate into your skincare regimen and this Obagi is a winner!

Not irritating
For a 1% retinol product it never irritates or drys out my skin because it has emollients added. A good starter version .5% for someone who's never used retinol. I switch on off to stronger retinols like Skinceutical but always feel safe with this product.
