Effective Retinol
I'm really pleased with this retinol cream. The cream is easy to apply, it has essentially no odor, and it's clearly effective. I've been using a lower dose retinol for a long time and I can tell within the first days that my cell turnover was increasing because my skin started flaking. Even after a couple months I am still only using this one every 2-3 days as I build up a tolerance, which is frankly reassuring because it tells me that this really does have the full 1% retinol!

I have been using this product for several months and I can see a difference in my skin. I alternate every other night to make sure my skin doesn't dry out. I started with .5% and moved to 1.0% after a few months because my skin could tolerate it.

A little drying
After using the Obagi 0.5 retinol for several months, I decided to bump up to the 1.0. I have very sensitive/dry skin and the 1.0 is proving to be a bit too much for me. I have started mixing it with the 0.5 and am hoping that with continued use, my skin will get used to it and I can transition to the full strength 1.0. I would definitely recommend starting with the 0.5 strength if you have never used a retinol cream before.

So I bought the Obagi 1.0 Retinol because the skinceuticals was sold out.... This is doing absolutely nothing for me.... With the skinceuticals 0.5% I was using, I was getting good results and wanted to up it to the 1.0%. I have noticed absolutely nothing with this... wouldve returned it, but I threw out the box.... Going back to skinceuticals....

I've used many retinol creams. This one by Obagi is very effective. Easily blends into my skin and on nights when I layer my products doesn't react badly. I can use on my neck which can be very finicky with everything I put on it. I've been using for about 3 years and see a difference in the texture of my skin.
