Obagi360 Retinol 0.5 is an ideal product to introduce your skin to retinol treatments. A lower concentration of 0.5% retinol boosts cell turnover to minimize acne, fine lines and wrinkles while diminishing hyperpigmentation. Hydrating jojoba oil and shea butter promote firmness and elasticity as vitamins C and E work synergistically to neutralize free radicals.
Once daily in the evening, apply a pearl-size amount to the face and gently smooth until absorbed.

Inefficacious
I have been using retinol and tretinoin for over a decade and decided to give Obagi 360 Retinol 0.5 a try and was extremely disappointed. It clogged my pores and had effect on fine lines. I try to use it with Obagi's Blender and it did not have the same results that I have when using the blender with tretinoin. I stopped using it and will not be purchasing item again. I will go back to using a lower strength of generic Retin A.

Patience is key
This retinol cream caused my (already dry) face to peel mildly for the first week, but I kept using it and have noticed such a positive difference in the smoothness and evenness of the skin on my face. I would recommend starting out with a small pea size amount, and work your way up to whatever works for you!

Great product, defective packaging
I purchased this lowest level retinol several months ago. I feel like it initially caused some purging, to be expected, but I did not experience much dryness or peeling, which was great. My issue came with the packing of the tube. When I went to squeeze out the product one night, it burst out of the bottom, where the plastic tube is crimped. A large amount of the product squirted onto the floor. I reached out to Dermstore and they immediately responded and sent me a replacement, which was awesome. Well, this happened again with the replacement! So they again were wonderful and sent out a third tube when I returned the previous defective one. And then it happened a THIRD time! The first night I tried to apply it! I give up. I will have to switch to a product with different packaging. Bummed because I have been impressed with all Obagi products thus far.

Gentle but effective
First, I need to express my love of Obaji products. I have been a long time user of Hyrda Luxe and the C Serum 15%. Retinols can easily irritate my skin, but this has a lovely scent, silky feel and has not caused any irritation. In fact, I can move to the 1% formula with my next order. Face texture is soft and even; likely the combo of all Obaji products.

I love Obagi products. I decided to include retinol to my skin care regimen and I got this. Only been using it for a week or so but no reactions yet and skin feels amazing. The only thing I don't like is that it's not oil free. As long as it doesn't cause break outs I'm fine with it and love it.

Great intro to retinol
Wanted to try a retinol cream for a while, but was afraid of the potential side effects. This 0.5 strength was perfect. I've been using it at night for a month, every other night for the first week or so, and I can already see a difference in the tone and texture of my skin! Since it is so dry here I still have to use another moisturizer after, just to keep my skin from feeling tight/dry, but that was expected. I highly recommend as a first retinol product!
