Great Sunscreen!
I like this sunscreen a lot due to its high SPF. I love that it's matte but not drying. I'm olive skinned so I was initially concerned that the cream is white but it blends beautifully and dries sheer without being ashy. Best of all is NO PILLING. Yaay!

Obagi changed their sunscreen formula!
I have been a loyal user of Obagi products, especially their Sun Shield Matte Broad Spectrum SPF sunscreen. I have it on auto ship and use it every single day, rain or shine, summer and winter. However, they redid the formula and the new version is horrible! Buyer beware, it's not the same product that received 5 stars. The new formulation is greasy and white and is definitely not a matte finish. Even the smell is different. This product was recommended to me by my dermatologist after having two skin cancers. Sadly, I have to find something else. I'd give the new formula a zero if I could. What a disappointment. You'd be better off buying something from Target like Neutrogena. Don't waste your money.

really wanted to like this
I really wanted to like this sunscreen especially since the ingredients list is really good, however it had a really thick goopy texture and it left behind a white cast that was very unappealing.

Favorite sunscreen 100%
This is by far my favorite face sunscreen...I have tried many throughout the years. The first time I tried it my mother gave it to me after her facial. And I was instantly hooked (the texture the lack of scent and the finishing look). After that I went to a new Aesthetician and they sold it there so I obviously bought more. I steadily started using it and always had it on hand since 2016. I have sensitive, rosacea and acne prone akin (thank you genes for the lovely package) and this is definitely a product I ay has helped me immensely. It doesn't break me out at all, be that from acne, rosacea breakouts or anything. It's very calming. I have worn it after chemical peels and microneedling and it has always been a game changer. Through the years I've tried different options that are slightly cheaper but still very good (eltaMD, la Roshe, avene, gooo, cerave; amongst others) and I always find myself going back to my old trusty Obagi friend. I always need it in my sunscreen bag (you should get a sunscreen bag too lol). I love the products lack of smell and it's texture and how it makes my skin afterwards. It locks in my serum and moisturizers and it goes un deer makeup flawlessly. Reapplying is breeze. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the cap. I seem to break almost all of them. Apart from that this is a 10/10 would definitely recommend and can't stop buying. Ps. If they had a bigger size I would be all over it.

Lightweight and Great Feeling
I have been wearing this sunscreen for 2-3 years and love it. I wear it year round and put it on under my make up. It's not heavy or thick feeling and gives great protection from the sun. It is one of my main go-to ace products.

Formula changed NOT Matte Anymore
I've used the Obagi Matte Sun Screen SPF 50 for many years but when I received a new tube this month (Nov. 2019) the product has changed. Instead of the previous nice light creme that absorbed to a matte finish, it's now oily, leaving a greasy shine that feels heavy and tacky. Not only does it look bad, but my face broke out after wearing it for a few hours. Very disappointed and now I have to look for another sun block that is matte.
