Great sunscreen!
I alternate between this sunscreen and one from another brand. I use this under make up and it makes a really nice primer. Protects really well and does not feel heavy on my face.

Really a great product!
I have used Obagi Sunshield for several years and love the protection and matte finish that it provides! It doesn't feel oily once it dries and feels comfortable throughout the day. It can be worn alone or under a light make up. I'm so glad that I found it!

What on earth have they done to this product?
I reiterate the comments of one of the other reviewers on this site: "It seems they have changed the formula and it is now not [matt] at all. In fact it could be the greasiest sunscreen I've ever used, no exaggeration.... Very disappointed." I read this before I made my purchase and I should have listened to her. I first used this product (well, not THIS product but the old formula under the same name) and it was fantastic. It really was matt and completely non-greasy. I thought I had found my SPF face-cream Nirvana. Sadly, it now feels and smells like cheap supermarket sunscreen. It's greasy and leaves a tacky film on your skin. At this price I seriously regret having purchased this and won't ever buy it again.

Something has changed
I have used this for years and have always loved it, however, something is different with my latest purchase (6/2020) and I won't buy it again. It seams heavy and greasy. I'm so disappointed.

Love this sunblock it's has such a nice finish not too matte but not too greasy almost like a satin finish. It doesn't smell terribly like sunblock either and a little goes a long way so it will last a long time. I have combo skin so it works great but if you're oily this might not be matte enough for you

Overall, this is a good product. The smell although easily reminiscent of sunscreen isn't too strong the the point where it's obnoxious. It also does not leave a white cast, which is awesome for a sunscreen. However, the product is quite drying. I know it is supposed to dry matte, but I guess with that being said, I suggest if you're on the drier side like myself, you may want to carefully think about this purchase, or at least be willing to moisturize underneath it with another product.

Rich Without Being Oily
This sunscreen is certainly a rich lotion consistency. It is amazing under makeup without letting the makeup slide. It is moisturizing and sort up brightening- the illusion of skin glowing. I did not give it 5 star because it does NOT have a Matte finish. Although it is not oily, I would say the finish is more like a radiant finish. Totally recommend!

Great protection for hours
I spend lots of time outside in the summer and recently purchased this product knowing Obagi is such a reputable brand. I can say that after hours of yard work/poolside with no signs of sunburn, I'm a fan. This does go on thick and takes some effort to rub in and it is most certainly matte, so for those with dry skin, like me, apply plenty of moisturizer before application.
