the missing piece!
Just finished a jar and reordering now. I am 50 something and I use a retinol product on my face at night and it causes some peeling. I had trouble removing the flakes and thought this might work because I already use use Obagi C serum 20%. It does! It removes the flakes and I feel a tinkle as it goes on. Be careful to only leave it on for the required 10 minutes. I left it on for 30 minutes one day, got busy doing something else and it started burning, I jumped in shower to rinse off. I did have red rough areas around my nose and around my mouth kinda like a professional treatment but it was gone in about 4 days.

Horrible, harmful product
Obagi has an excellent reputation, and the reviews for this product are overall really impressive. I ordered it, excited. Upon opening the jar, the product I was sent appeared surprisingly hard and waxy, but homogeneous. I used the comma-shaped tool to dig out the product, put a thin layer on my face, let it sit about 15 minutes as directed, massaged. No stinging whatsoever. After rinsing, a thick oil layer was left on my skin. I had to wash my face a second time with my Skin Medica cleanser and apply toner twice to remove the heavy oil layer. Never experienced the 'stinging' of a Vitamin C product. Currently, I am three days into a mild-moderate acne-rosacea breakout over my entire face from the use of this product. I feel this is a horrible, even harmful, product. I have never had such a reaction from any Obagi product in 15 years of using Obagi products, or from any product from Dermstore, for that matter. Obviously, I cannot recommend this masque, and have had a completely different experience than most folks here. I'd like to add that I have used 20-30% Vitamin C products, as well as microdermabrasion products, of varying brands for many years. I have really liked them. What happened to me with this Obagi masque was totally unexpected and not due to the Vitamin C content or the microdermabrasion crystals. The heavy oils the product left on my skin and which were so difficult to remove, were the culprit, I believe. In addition, I experienced none of the familiar Vitamin C 'stinging'. This product harmed me; I am still trying to get rid of pimples and rash three days later. Very poor quality control

Burned my skin
Don't get me wrong, I love Obagi, and also vitamin C products, so I was excited to try this. It burned my skin to the point I had light scabs around the corners of my nose and the discoloration lasted more than a month. I've not used it again; however, if I do I'll keep it away from sensitive areas. Another reviewer mentioned using it on hands and chest, so I'll try that as well.
